Well Wade Graham has been charged. Grade 1 Careless High Tackle.

He needs to beat the charge in order to play. His carryover points (33) for his previous charge has put it up to 117 points.

If Sharks didn't have the bye, he wouldn't need to. But they do.
Mid season transfer to another club and then back to the Sharks end of the round?

I'm watching the game and I just saw the tackle on Thurston by Graham. Thurston ducked down into that and made it look worse than it was, nothing much in it. Refs fucked up with Barba just then.

No no no. Graham rushed up and was beaten. Yes Thurston slipped a little but Graham chose to throw out the arm rather than miss altogether.

It's a grade 1 careless at least. It's just amazing how anyone can see it differently.
With his carry over points his only way out is to be exonerated which may well happen but that is to be expected.

I have a feeling Graham and Tamou will come off free

This is where Graham stands ATM. This scenario is what should happen. If he gets off it's simply another NSW wrought.

Wade Graham's State of Origin debut for New South Wales is in doubt after he was charged with a grade one careless high tackle by the NRL match review committee.

Graham was charged over a 64th-minute high shot on Johnathan Thurston during Cronulla's Round 14 NRL Telstra Premiership win over the Cowboys on Monday night.
The charge would normally not amount to a ban but with 50 per cent loading from a prior similar offence and 33 carry-over points to his name, Graham is set to miss State of Origin II if he pleads guilty to the charge or if he is found guilty at the judiciary on Wednesday night.
The base penalty for a grade one high tackle is 75 points. With Graham's prior similar offence in the last two years, the base penalty gets a 50 per cent loading, taking it up to 112.5 points. An early guilty plea gets a 25 per cent discount, taking the points down to 84. But Graham's 33 carry over points from a prior offence takes his points up to 117. A one-game ban is 100 points.

I'll give you a snap shot of Grahams judiciary hearing

Defence: My client has just been selected for NSW

Judiciary Panel: NOT GUILTY

Gerard Sutton and Ben Cummins will referee the 2016 Holden State of Origin II at Suncorp Stadium next Wednesday, June 22.

General Manager of Officiating Tony Archer said Sutton and Cummins had officiated in the past five State of Origin matches and deserved to take charge in Game Two.

"I thought they both performed well in Game One and they’ve held their form in the NRL since then," Mr Archer said.

"They are the most proven referees at this level and they deserve to referee in Game Two. They are clearly the best officials for the job."

The match officials for the second Holden State of Origin match, on June 22, are:

Referee: Gerard Sutton
Assist Referee: Ben Cummins
Touch Judges: Brett Suttor, Nick Beashel
Senior Review Official: Bernard Sutton
Review Officials: Luke Patten, Ashley Klein
Standby Referee: Gavin Badger
Standby Touch Judge: Michael Wise

Who were the Bunker officials in the first game?

Calling the refs out like that, whether they were replaced or not, was a win win situation for Daley.

He should have been fined.

Whether Wade Graham plays or not does not really matter. NSW have plenty of replacements just as good or better.

I like Lillyman back in ,but think Gavin Cooper would have been great also. Looking forward to seeingCronk and JT at fully fit, at near their best.

If the judiciary has any credibility, Graham misses out. Accidental or not, clear contact with the head by way of a careless tackle.
Big loss for the Blues in my opinion.

Graham is a genuine threat on an edge with a high work rate, hard running and physical defence. I'd rate him above Cordner due to his ball playing ability.

In many ways he reminds me of Watmough in his prime, good metres after contact, footwork at the line, physical in attack and defence. Add in his ball playing and a pretty deft grubber and he could cause some real headaches if they used him right.

I'm surprised he hasn't been picked earlier to be honest. More dynamic than Jackson or Beau Scott, who might be reliable but don't offer much in the way of attack which his been a shortcoming of NSW for some time.

I dunno if Graham is better than Cordner, but I'd still say those 2 + Bird are NSWs 3 best edge back rowers.

Tallis, Petero, Thorn and Chris Lynn in camp; guys had a great dinner last night.

I thought Cordner had a very solid game in Origin 1, but to me, he's like Jennings. Give him the ball with time and space and he'll come through for you, but he's not going to create opportunities on his own.

Regarding Bird, he's had some good performances, but he's clearly past his used by date. Barely noticed him in game 1. Somewhat like Myles in that he's earnt his stripes but if either team wants to be competitive, this should be their swan song.
