Smith and his storm mates will make the ruck look like a BJJ rolling session if the refs refuse to blow pens like they did last game. I reckon Glasby was picked purely for his wrestling skills.
I'm not complaining, NSW got away with murder last game and we need to slow the game down somehow.

Well, such was the cockies dominance in game 1 I'm disinclined to believe we can win in an environment which is so unfavourable. It's on their turf, reffed by two nswelshmen on a slippery surface. Although we have a newer and hopefully more energetic team I don't believe the balance is right. We would have benefitted more from Kaufusi as a tackling mainstay, a player with a huge motor and big body not to mention he is seriously fast for a big forward. Same wrestling school, superior weight to Glasby and scored 7 trys to Glasbys 1. Nevermind that he plays 80 minutes a week ! Not bad for a 109 kg forward !
Anyway, the teams picked and my maroon blood will support the team irrespective of my concern. I want to be wrong and I've warmed to Hess's inclusion despite my earlier misgivings. I wish Glasby well and hope he grows the proverbial extra leg, I just love an underdog and hope he shows them exactly who Tim Who is !

But at the age of 14 he left Sydney to go to Perth when his parents split up. He was reffing under 12s. So, when did he actually move to NSW. IE. Give me a source.

The Pearce stuff is hilarious. He decided to sledge a champion and one of the GOAT, and he got owned and humiliated. He could be part of a team that wins the next 3 origin series in a row and he still wouldnt be as good as Thurston. Best thing he can do to earn a bit of respect back is to not try sledging again if NSW win the series. It would make him look exactly like the NSW press and fans after they went on their run of one series win in a row in 2014.
The sad thing is this NSW resurgence is probably down to their rep players being around the likes of Meninga, Cronk, Thurston and Smith. Being around these blokes, without the negative influence of peptide paul has probably showed them how to conduct themselves, how to do things properly and instilled a lot of confidence in them as players. Its got very little to do with Daley.
As for tonight, i still cant see us winning, but if we can hold our own in the forwards, we dont have to be better than them, just compete, then our backline with our spine is still better than theirs and we are more than capable of putting points on them. I'm just not convinced we actually have enough size and more importantly, mongrel, to beat them right now.

I did read his father played in nq and lower grades in Sydney. Don't think from what I've read that he is qld born and breed ( bred ) as bman claimed

Cecchin was born in Sydney. Moved to Perth when he was 14 with his mother.
