Time for Wallace and Garbutt to shape up

I was looking forward to watching him go with a few games under his belt. He has all the makings to be a tough no frills prop which is what we need off the bench.
I'm starting to think Garbutts a bit of a myth. He should already be in first grade if he is as good as people think he is.

I'm keen to see Garbutt play NRL. 183m and a try against the Capra's in Round 2. He seems to have good awareness and ball control from the limited amount I have seen of him. He's up against Wynnum this weekend so I will be keeping an eye on him.

Well, he's turned out to be a worse buy than Kennedy so far, 3 knock ons, 3 week suspension and now an ACL.

On a serious note though, I'm very disappointed. I was looking forward to him coming back, and despite his bad first game I had high hopes for him once he worked out his place in the team.

Bit of a shame. He could have been a key cog for us as an impact player with a mean streak.

Very fortunate Wallace seems to be coming along this season. Additionally I think we're probably going to get maximum value out of Thaiday off the bench.

Assuming Kodi holds down the utility spot (which I'm warming to), I would hope Garbutt makes a case soon for his inclusion. Joe O, Molo, Dodds for depth.

Wallace, Joe, Molo, Garbutt and Thaiday. Pretty good bench and depth forward options still.

I'd like to see Garbutt get a run if Joe O gets a rest. Wallace has earned his spot on the bench and Thaiday won't be dropped from the 17.

Shame about Gavet, he had an ordinary start but certainly has potential.
