THE Gold Coast Titans are to launch an audacious bid to snare NRL superstar Greg Inglis.

Widely believed to be on the verge of signing with the Broncos, The Daily Telegraph can reveal Titans CEO Michael Searle has told Inglis he has the cash to swamp the Brisbane deal, which is understood to be $350,000 a year plus third-party payments.

"I am expecting an offer from the Titans in the next 24 to 48 hours," Inglis' manager Allan Gainey confirmed.

"Searle will be back soon (from Singapore) and he has always expressed an interest, but now they are ready to make a formal offer."

Likely to be released from the Storm to help put the club under the salary cap for season 2011, Inglis has instructed his manager to explore the Gold Coast deal.

Gainey claims the Queensland Origin centre has no preference for either the Broncos or the Titans and will base his decision on cash, which may play into the Titans' hands. "I asked him if he wanted me to have a look at it and he said 'Of course I do'," Gainey said.

"He won't be looking anywhere else but the two Queensland clubs. The reason is out why he wants to go north and that hasn't changed [his girlfriend], but the likely Titans offer has changed a couple of things."

First his manager said he would prefer the Broncos and now he says he doesnt care which club he goes to out of the Broncos and the Titans. **** if he is doing it to try and get more money then the Broncos should say see you later greg, go and play for the team the is in debit millions and has no chance of winning a premiership. Oh and i hope your pay checks gets to you every week and doesnt get used to pay off some of the debit collectors!!!

TBH this whole thing has dragged out way to long and im begining to start to not give a ****. Sure he would be great next year but if Greg and his manager are trying to scare the Broncos into paying them more by saying they will go to the Titans then i would say have fun at the Titans Greg.

Don't believe everything you read.

If he's signed AWESOME, if he doesn't then good luck to him, I couldn't care less.

LOL, Mate i dont believe ANYTHING i read :D

Some of the things couriermail have said recently
- They said Inglis would be on over $650k a year
- They now say that the Broncos offer was only $350k plus third party deals
- They were the paper who said the Storm press conference was about Greg Inglis signing

They have no idea, neither do we TBH. The whole thing is starting to become very drawn out and annoying.

In a way I hope the Tits get him. They'll then have their salary cap rorts uncovered. There is no way they could fit him in.

Well Inglis is exactly what the Titans need, that would be 2 strike centres in a year. Michaels and Inglis.

If he does end up signing with the Titans after his manager telling Brisbane management that he would sign with them if he got a release from the Storm, then i reckon that Broncos management would be so pissed off with Gainey that they would no longer deal with him. and if his clients wanted to come to the Broncos they would need different representation

We haven't signed Inglis yet!

I don't know how the Titans could afford to swamp our offer (which was 400k according to the media but they now say is 350k) considering the Titans said that they couldn't afford 350k for Hannant a few months ago. now apparently they have that and more to get Inglis eusa_think

FTR, with or without Inglis i am happy with our squad for next season

Didn't we sign Hannant before the changes to next year's salary cap was announced?

Yeah... so we have a fucking awesome team for 2011.

If the Titans sign Inglis on that massive offer i reckon we should have a play at signing Friend. they would struggle to match a decent offer and friend would give us good service out of dummy half
