I agree with both of you, but there is one big negative coming out of it... referees are less afraid to make mistakes against us than the scum or the faders, because they know the Broncos coach or management won't publicly chastise them.
Unfortunately, it's a proven fact, especially in the soccer world, that teams who whine a lot, tend to be get the rub of the green.
Note that I don't mean in any way that there is deliberation in refs decisions, but their subconscious will often decide for them: "If I get this wrong, Sticky, or Des, or Toovey will rip me a new one in the press conference and get me in all kinds of trouble".
