lol. Swing and a miss.

Re: Griffin emerges as new supercoach

I'd like to see him coach some better attack into our side. Big ticks for winning and the defence which all good sides have but really the attack is largely coming out of dummy half or one pass hit ups. This, IMO, won't win you a GF.

I thought the same earlier in the season, but the last few games are showing a lot more enterprise in attack. I liked the way Glenn's tries were set up last week. The kick chase is getting better and better.

I also remember earlier this season (I think) a great try where Macca dummied outside then gave a great short pass on the inside to Gillett who ran a great angle and got the ball at speed. More of that sort of play - using the back rowers on both sides would be excellent.

Re: Griffin emerges as new supercoach

when you have guys like gillett and glenn who are so dominant and evasive close to the line, sometimes the simple plays are all thats needed.

as posted above our attack has been improving. norman is starting to play with freedom. wallace is controlling things as always. i've noticed the last couple of weeks that they are breaking out of the "wallace right side, norman left side" structure and playing on instinct more and more.

we started in a similar fashion last year- our games were won on defense. we got more expansive as the year went on and i think things shaping up even better this year.

if our guns stay fit, anything is possible. i am truly excited by our prospects this season.

Maybe Broncoman was born on the Gold Coast?

I'm from Armidale NSW. Not the Gold Coast although I go there often.

Re: Griffin emerges as new supercoach

Does anyone here think Hook will go down as some of the best coaches in the game at sometime?

Are you serious?

Re: Griffin emerges as new supercoach

What the heck is a "super coach" anyway? Stupid media beatup terms. No doubt that Hook is a very good coach and he certainly has the potential to have a long lasting career much like WB and Tim Sheens but he needs a few more years under his belt before he's in the great coach category.

The so-called 'supercoach' simply won't exist from this point in time imo if the current level of parity continues in the NRL .. Coaches won't be able to stock pile premierships like they could in the past ...
