Have we seen the last of Lowrie?

I'm never one to put any faith in Griffin's team selections, but Kennedy is starting to solidify his position on the bench, and while Wallace isn't getting much game time, he didn't do anything to warrant being dropped.

2 games to go until we may or may not make the finals, and Griffin on the outer. I reckon we've seen the last of him. "Compassionate" release in the off season looming, I would've thought.

Didn't Lowrie only sign for 1 year any way

Wonder if there's any player or club option written into that second year.

He's a better plodder than Stagg at least.

Wayne will probably keep him around to be our experienced head at the club come Origin time.

Apart from that though, it's hard to see him playing much first grade next year.

Hope not.

One thing you can't take away from him is his consistency of effort, unlike a lot of others.

Consistency and heart are top 2 Bennett selection criteria.

Handy at origin or if we get mass injuries but other than that he shouldn't be in first grade IMO. Probably a good type to have around the training paddock with the younger players.

On small coin, and handy for depth, much like Maranta.

Would think Stagg is due to pack it on first, though apparently he's signed until end of next season?

Hopefully with corvo we have seen the last of the bulking :)

Just joking, I know you meant in. I agree, I can't really see Stagg in first grade again.

i actually think lowrie has been alright for us this season, and is a handy backup/depth player to have. barring mass injuries i doubt he'd see many games in the NRL next season.

Agreed - he hasn't played too bad. I like Lowrie. He could've been so much more than a depth signing. It was probably a case of Brisbane signing players for the hell of it. It was pretty obvious from the get go he wasn't an impact player so was largely untapped potential on the bench. A real puzzling decision to sign him. At any other club, he could've forced his way into the starting team long ago but it's clear that barring injury no changes are going to take place at the Broncos.

For anyone who doesn't rate Lowrie go and watch that first half of the 2012 grand final. He was immense.

I've noticed Bennett has a knack for having a workhorse or 2 on the bench.

I think we could possibly see Lowrie in the side next year.

Now you've gone and done it ... you jinxed us ... Lowrie will be named in the team tomorrow.

Thanks IBM :takdir:

Starting 17 tonight, Griffin probably put him in the list for shits and giggles nearing the end of his career at the Broncos.

In some ways, I'd rather him than Wallace. He's hardly a world beater but he's very reliable.

Yes and no, I like Wallace there for an extra prop but tbh I don't mind Lowrie that much as depth, I just hate when we saw him and Stagg in the same bloody side.
