NEWS How Milf can solve Broncos' biggest issue

Because people have re-watched the shit other teams produced against them on their "miracle run". There's a reason everyone was saying they Steven Bradbury'd their way to the GF and it wasn't because they played amazingly to earn it. Every team fell over on the way to the finish line

We could say the same about the Broncos. In some of their premiership years, even in 2015, an argument could be made they went up against teams that just "fell over", that they got lucky.

The fact is, they took their chances when they were presented to them and they did it three weeks in a row against stronger opposition. It's not like they just simply turned up and won, they had to fight tooth and nail for it constantly coming from behind. That's because they were and are a good team.

I think the key point about Morgan, and regardless of the Cowboys performances or their opposition, is that he went from a glorified centre to a genuine halfback. That's something that Milf or Kodi could take inspiration from.

Just because other teams have done it doesn't mean we have to admit that they played well, because they didn't.

He was also pretty handy at fullback along the way.

Milf and Morgan will be competing for rep spots for years to come. More motivation to get the best of him when the chance is there.

I laugh at some of the comments you guys come up with. Sure the cowboys didn't do so fantastic outright. Yet they made it to the grand final.....and....we didn't.

The point should be this: A fantastic player is able to know when the right times are needed, and a win is a win. Morgan and the cowboys managed both.

I laugh at what you write. If the cows had of played the storm in the prelim final the Storm likely would have played us in the final and spanked us, a week after they finished slaughtering the cows.

No-one was beating the storm last year. The Cows got lucky on the weaker side of finals draw having to play neither us nor the storm before the final, only teams in front of them that shit the bed.

We went up against a team that shit the bed and still couldn't beat them.

They would have beat us, as well.

It seems people are going to let hatred get in the way that of acknowledging that they were actually a good team and deserved their spot in the final.

Did anyone one of you watch the games? The teams they beat lost because the Cowboys made them lose. They had to fight for those wins. They got those teams into a grind and came out on top through sheer determination and when presented with the opportunity to win, they took it. Every time. That's what good teams do.

Round 26 says no.

Round 26 says no.

They were a better side than what they were in Round 26. They got better, we went downhill.

How sloppy and disorganized we were against the Roosters, Panthers and Storm. They would have been a nightmare for us.

But his point was right. Same thing happened for us in 2015. Roosters imploded

Morgan stepped up, but so did the other 16 blokes they had running around for them every week.

What they did was outstanding, but they did have their fair chance of luck through the finals as well, in the way of playing out-of-form or self-imploding teams.

Before the finals, they weren’t playing particularly inspired football. If results don’t go their way, they don’t make the 8 and we all speak about how gutsy they were but just didn’t have the form on the board or calibre of player to make the 8.

As history shows, they made the most of their second chance and certainly stepped up week on week. But it was not just the Michael Morgan show - it was most certainly a team effort.

It was mainly a Taumalolo and Morgan show.

The Roosters did exactly what they normally do to start the game. SKD passed the ball to RTS for the kick return like they did a thousand times that year. The Broncos knew they would and capitalized off it. We made them implode. Unlike the Cowboys who quite obviously didn't play well in their lead up to the GF.

Week 1 they came against the Sharks and dropped everything all day. Holmes was dropping easy grubbers and Maloney got sin binned for holding a player back (Would never happen again). The kicked a goal and scored a try to even it up before Maloney came back on. They leveled it up after a ridiculous strip penalty from right in front. Then Gallen lost the ball during the play the ball with players all over him to end normal game time. Then Morgan finally does something and kicks a field goal to win it.

Verdict- Refs handed them another game

Week 2 they played the Eels. Radradra scored a hundred metre try in the opening minutes. Feldt scores in the corner. Smith scores for the Eels after another Cowboys loose ball. Cowboys then score because the Eels fullback didn't want to catch a bomb before it bounced. Then an inside ball from Martin sets up Hess. Eels start to get frustrated and fights break out. Then Morgan scores a try by simply running at a broken defensive line. Eels finish by scoring after another Cowboys error

Verdict- The Eels are fucking dumb

Week 3 they played perennial chokers, the Roosters. Morgan kicks a 40/20 early. About time he showed up. Roosters kick off out on the full after the Cowboys kick a penalty goal. Martin runs straight up the middle and scores. Roosters score from a kick after a terrible catch attempt by the Cowboys winger where he completely misses everything. Cordner runs straight through a massive hole to set up Watson. Morgan sets up Linnett after a quick play the ball from Taumalolo makes a hundred gaps in the Roosters defensive line. Keary even fell over. Ferguson scores after another Cowboys error. Feldt somehow gets it down in the corner with 5 blokes on him.

Roosters kick off out on the full again! Unforced errors like that have nothing to do with the Cowboys. The Roosters are choking. JWH gets penalized right in front, Cowboys kick another penalty. Then Morgan kicks a field goal after the Roosters have given up. Then Bolton strips the ball from Gordon to fall over the try line and finish the game.

Verdict- I wish we could play the Roosters in the finals every year

And in the Grand Final they come up against a team that actually showed up and get flogged 34-6

Verdict- Lol

We can't predict who we will come up against in the finals, they made it we didn't. Irrelevant of draw its the way the cookie crumbles, some of you guys have to stop being so bitter. Maybe some of you are still struggling after the 2015 loss just like Ben Hunt?

I hate Gallen more than the Cowboys but the error he made in the last minute before they went to extra time was bullshit. He had players all over him and wasn't given a chance to play the ball with 30 seconds to go in front of the sticks. Chances are Maloney kicks the field goal and the 8th place Cowboys tumble out of the Finals in week 1. They are handed opportunity after opportunity because their coach is a sook.

Just because they played in the grand final doesn't mean anyone has to admit they played well to get there because that would be wrong. They were lucky. Also Martin was better than Morgan for 70 minutes of every single game in the finals. They're lucky they had Taumalolo though. He definitely carried them. But wasn't there a shoulder charge that he should have been done for?

So whether you have to play the most dominant team in the comp in the prelim finals is ‘irrelevant’ as to whether or not you make the grand final eh?

Lol. That will do me...

Don't worry, they'll be average or shit when JT retires. It'll be interesting to see how many cowboy jerseys we see in Brisbane when they're finishing 10th and our young team is coming into its prime.

EDIT: them signing TMM mid season last year would be like us signing Brandon Smith or Levi or some other highly touted jr after Macca went down.
