Hunt has put the cue in the rack

I never said Gillett is perfect, or didn't contribute. There is no black or white here!
Of course he will make mistakes, mistime his run, drop a ball, miss a tackle, etc... but that is definitely not the point.
I don't need to refresh my memory to be absolutely certain that Hunt is mostly responsible to the misuse of the right side attack at the Broncos. The facts and evidence are there for everyone to see, but hey... your "non-shoddy memory" says otherwise.

As highlighted by Huge and UB, confirmation bias is a big issue, not only with you, but with most people, including myself.

Remember that video you made about Hunt and Milford's kicking? To me, it absolutely confirmed he is by far the poorer kicker, despite a few excellent kicks in the midst of the mediocre majority, which confirmed my suspicions (or bias), based on what I expect from a halfback, which is at least a 75% efficiency and accuracy kick rating.
Other people viewed that video differently, to some the occasional great moment will trump their view and confirm their bias, like @Foordy 's example yesterday, where he mentioned a great kick by Hunt to justify his opinion, ignoring the fact that those are few and far between.

Secondly, if everyone had to go through 100 hours of footage before posting an opinion of a player on BHQ, this site would be a desert.
Besides, the mentioned confirmation bias would still reflect that person's opinion, because people will interpret images differently, according to what they are looking for. I mean, we have people arguing about slow motion replays and seeing things others see completely differently!

How anyone could come away from that video thinking Hunt was the better kicker I don't know.

Niko on the Bench so we can replace Hunt when he continues to show no interest.

When has he ever "shown no interest"

Last week for starters.

A halfback apparently worth $1.2M stands up and wins us that game last week, instead he dishes up a shit kicking game and then is happy to stand back and play second fiddle to our forth placed half at the club.

there is a big difference between performance and not giving a shit.

whatever anyone's opinion of Hunt's form is, there can be no question (at least to anyone who is being serious and not biased against him) that he is busting his ass out there for us.

The problem with him though is his arse is already busted. At his best he was a fader, now there's more fade than effect.

Milford will certainly miss him, with Hunt in the team he takes all the heat of Milford. next season Milford is our Million dollar half.

he turned his form around before his injury (and was playing much better than Milford) and I still have faith he can lead us deep into September this year, starting with the Rabbits on Friday (and Bennett obviously does to, or he would no longer be in the team)

Bennett has a soft spot for hunt. He will never hook hunt mid game or drop him to qcup. I'm on team benji as well after the roosters game. He had some really good dummy half runs that even took Macca by surprise as Macca was out of position by the time benji played the ball.

You're not serious?

It's true, the Roosters game Milford was probably his best for the season up until then and he has only turned his form around since Hunts been out

Ben Hunt tinted glasses. Seriously.

So Hunt was playing much better than Milford, was he?

How many games did Hunt win us in the first five rounds?

I'll answer for you. None.

Do you know how bad Milford was playing?

Not as bad as Hunt. Empirically.

Yeah, he was playing worse than Hunt.

I'm not sure how anyone could possibly watch Milford in the first five rounds and not think he was worse. He was costing us games just as much as Hunt was. Like the Cowboys game for example..

People don't rate him because he doesn't provide a high level of impact off the bench. What they don't realise is that's the exact opposite of what his strength is, his strength is starting, absorbing the early punishment, taking the tough carries, tackling everything that moves and playing long minutes.

It'd be a true shame if we just let him leave without giving him a proper opportunity to start and play long minutes, I think there's a decent chance he'd thrive.

Who's got the glasses on? Milford was below average and it was well published. Hunt was much better at the start of the season, its a shame he got injured.

Hunt was garbage, and only started to come good against the storm with that try.

Milford didn't start the season on fire (although he won us the game against the reigning premiers) but built every game. Hunt dished up his usual four rocks and one diamond - the diamond coming when the game was already over, of course.

Can't argue with the blokes who have Ben Hunt on their banners though.

I'll repeat - how many games did Ben win us?

I'll repeat - none.

This right here ladies and gents is the very definition of delusional.

I'm curious as to what makes you think this? Give examples.

Obviously no point trying to talk any sense with you . Enjoy the rest of the season with hunt at 7 !
