Hunt in Queensland Cup

Seb Pandia scores

Jets extend their lead 32-4.

Nice try to Lucas.

Sandow with the pin-point cross-field kick finds Lucas who does well in limited space.

Opportunity came on the back of a strong tackle on Teatau.

Jets 38 lead Norths 8.

Norths set up another late try through their kicking game.

Jets lead 38-14.

Michael Lucas? Used to catch the bus to school with that kid, didn't know be still played.

Sandow with another cross-field kick to Lucas, who hits his centre with a flick pass and the Devils cross again.

Jets 38 lead Norths 18

Hunt with a chip and chase, Purcell comes up with it, kicks again and Seve is there but the kick is smothered by the Norths cover defence and they force the scrum.

Lachy Roe forces his way over with a great run near the line.

Jets 44-18.

74 gone.

Ben Hunt with an intercept, links up with Pandia but Pandia spills it cold.

Norths go left and Lucas is over for a very soft try.

Ipswich 44-24

Norths with one last opportunity throw a loose pass which is intercepted by Purcell and he looks to be homed and hosed. However, Lucas chases him down comfortably but ends up conceding the penalty. Jets go left before finding space back on the inside. They put a kick through but in the ensuing contest for the grubber the referee rules a double knock on and she's all over.

Ipswich Jets 44 (Conlon 2, R. Pandia 2, Valekapa, Roberts, S. Pandia, Roe tries; Conlon 5/8, Capewell 1/1 goals) defeated Norths Devils 24 (Lucas 2, White, Hoeter, Pollock tries; Sandow 2/5 goals)

Hunt impressive without being dominant, Arrow always a handful even in a badly beaten side.

@1910 Any of the Broncos boys in the crowd lending their support?

Watched the second half via streams available on their Facebook. Hunt was good. Short kicks were good but they gave him plenty of time.

Norths had a bit of run going on scoring off the Jets short kickoffs several times in a row until Hunt came up with an intercept. (The trys werent scored near Hunt). Id love to see a few more Jets games with him there as the Jets havent been travelling well but neither are Norths.

Could have gone to football; stayed home and debated irrelevant pay scales on the net for four pages- good call there boys.

First Jets' try- Hunt went long to Phillips on the left and Jets score- nice pass and combined with his half.
Second Jets' try- Nice kick into the in goal pressure on they drop it coming out and Jets over untouched- kicked and chased.

Kicking at the line taken out- penalty and two points.

Jets' third try- Drifts across and finds a straight runner- gave him space and he runs 40m and Jets score off the next tackle.
Jets' fourth try- Hunt gets quick ball on the blind again nice pass for a forward who off-loads after the break.
Jets' fifth try- Hunt goes to the line, rolls it in for a try.

Hunt was enthusiastic and in everything, couldn't fault his effort or attitude. He gave the Jets forwards great service and put them through gaps and it kept putting up tries.

He attacked mainly on the right but moved around, defended on the right.

Coaching staff.
That's disappointing I would hope some players would be there as well especially those that he has played with since 20's; Macca, Glenn, McGuire, etc.

Maybe they preferred to spend time with their families rather than being harassed all day by fans. I'm pretty sure it had no effect on Hunt's performance.
