Hype That Amounted To Nothing

There was hype around Stu Kelly?

I remember. There was a little.

Added to the list: Andrew Johns [icon_razz1

How about one of Stuart Kelly's Eels team mates - Dallas Weston?

Seriously people, stop engaging him in debate when he is so obviously baiting. His initial post should have just been ignored.

What about his baiting though? It's getting to the point that it's out of control. I believe there is a rule against excessive baiting.

bitch.

How do you know what action has or hasn't been taken?

And while we're on the subject you do a fair amount of baiting of him as well.

Yes, he should stop doing it or he'll go blind according to those nuns I knew.

Brett Firman - The next Fittler. Until the Roosters got rid of him and he ended up in North Queensland where he played behind Justin Smith before going down to Penrith where he only got a handful of starts.

Richie Williams - One game wonder who gate-crashed the Titans first ever match. Mouthed off to a paper about Anasta who in turn smacked him in the ANZAC clash. Is currently playing for Burleigh.

Palmer Wapau - Was supposed to be the best kept secret in the QRL...

Brett Firman hahah so tru my mates dad loved him told me he would play for Australia. Dumb Dragons fans.

Matt Head could be another one and possibly Shannon Walker from the Titans.

PJ Marsh - to no fault of his own though. I seriously reckon Cam Smith would've made his Origin debut around 2007 if PJ never got injured.

Hmmm, not sure about that. PJ was always talented but I thought he always suited a short role either starting or off the bench where he used in spurts through a game. He was always great for impact coming on for Riddell for example.

Who hypes these players up though? I don't see too many of them blowing their own trumpets. Seems like it's mostly the media, and partly the fans, faults.

Late in his career you are correct.

But in years 2001-2003 he was outstanding, particularly in 2002 when he got his Origin call-up. For mine he should've been MOTM in Game 2 that year and was really looking like he could be Queensland's long-term hooker for years to come. THAT neck injury meant that couldn't happen. I really think he could've been anything.

Joven Clarke.

Whatever happened to that little speedster?
Last I heard from him he joined the army. Quick search and he is still playing footy, for the Army team. Great guy but just too small.

paul hoff started like a house on fire, f*@#ed up big time in a test match and never ever ever recovered
