The only variables I see coming for 2014 are.. Milford coming or not coming, Barba coming or not coming, Wallace leaving or staying.

Option 1 - Milford comes, Barba comes, Wallace leaves

1. Barba
2. Hoffman
3. Reed
4. Hodges
5. Yow Yeh
6. Milford
7. Hunt

Option 2 - Milford comes, Barba doesn't, Wallace leaves

1. Hoffman
2. Kahu
3. Reed
4. Hodges
5. Yow Yeh
6. Milford
7. Hunt

Option 3 - Milford doesn't, Barba comes, Wallace stays

1. Barba
2. Hoffman
3. Reed
4. Hodges
5. Yow Yeh
6. Wallace
7. Hunt

Option 4 - Milford doesn't, Barba doesn't, Wallace stays

1. Hoffman
2. Kahu
3. Reed
4. Hodges
5. Yow Yeh
6. Wallace
7. Hunt

I think it's quite apparent that if Milford comes, Wallace will be leaving.. Which of these 4 options would you prefer, and would you make any changes? ( The team is based on the assumption that Yow Yeh will be fit and ready to play 1st grade on the Wing, if he isn't up to it, replace him with Kahu and have Copley on the other wing )

Until I read your last paragraph I was going to say that its an equally likely scenario that Yow Yeh doesn't reach first grade level, which makes me sad to say.

I find it really hard to believe Wallace will be playing first grade for us next year regardless. If we don't get Barba or Milford, I think we will either give Ash a go or sign someone else.

I think the most likely option 2. followed by option 1.

My opinion of the club isn't so low that I think they'd give our top 3 half preferences of the last 2 years (in order the list until now has been 1. Wallace 2. Prince 3. Norman. 4.Hunt) the marching orders without having a pretty secure and promising option to replace them.

If Yow Yeh does make it back to first grade, i don't see him playing wing, i think he will come back as a center (the position he has been playing in the QLD Cup)

If Yow Yeh gets back into first grade, it'll be as a Left Centre as he'd be more likely to step off his left ankle than his right.

Well then I don't think we'll ever see him in a Broncos jersey again, because we just re-signed Reed on a decent money, he and Hodges will be the centres next year.

yeah they pretty much ruled wing out from the get go. centre or second row is where he will play for the rest of his career if/when he makes it back to first grade.

It will be

1. Barba
2. Hoffman
3. Reed
4. Hodges
5. Copley
6. Hunt
7. Milford

I'd hate for us to waste Milford at first receiver if he comes here.

I thought Milford would be a better 6 at this stage of his career, with that step of his he'd be an insane running 5/8.

There's still roughly 9 months between now and next season, who knows what condition Yow Yeh will be in. I for one am optimistic and am hoping he makes a full recovery, onya Yowie!

As for the OP, I'm hoping for option 1, bring it on.

It makes no difference whatsoever which number Milford wears on his back. 6 or 7 I don't care what he wears.

Me too, I'd rather him play at 6.

Yeah, if we play him in the halves, we'll also hopefully go away from the split halves system, and pretty much play both him and Barba as running 5/8ths/fullbacks in attack. But then we'll really need Macca and Hunt to stand up.

If Barba does not come i would like to see Byrnes at Fullback with a bit more growth on his body over the next 9 months

1. Barba
2. Hoffman
3. Copely
4. Hodges
5. Yow Yeh
6. Milford
7. Hunt

Why stop at the first 7?

8. Hannant
9. Macca
10. McGuire
11. Gillett
12. Glenn
13. Parker

14. Kennedy
15. Tasi
16. Thaiday
17. Dodds

I'm a big fan of Hala, I reckon he'll win a way in the team or at the very least be first picked when someone is out injured so really he might play the whole season anyway.

We'll either see Yow Yeh get a shot in Reed's spot at the start of the year for a couple of games..a little reward for all his effort, or we'll see him have a go during Origin, Reed moved to the right side for a couple of games with Yow Yeh on the left. I don't see Hodges continuing 2015 and onward, so 2015 would be Yow Yeh/Reed centre pairing..if Yow Yeh is back up to standard.

I like Reed but I don't think he has a long term future in the centres, Copely/Hoffman and Yow yeh are the 3 who is all stay fit (get fit) will fight over the 2 spots with Oates/Kahu also in the mix for the backline.
