If you could coach a Broncos side

What if you could coach a Broncos side of 17 players? Heres your chance to name it, can be a team of stars, could be a team of players you liked watching in action, or that you didn't have the pleasure of seeing, or perhaps a side of players who you wish had better luck with injuries or deliver upon the potential they had or stayed at the club instead of leaving.

The only conditions I put on it is this, you can only have one player assigned as a fulltime captain for a season and by that I mean a players like Wally Lewis, Gene Miles, Alan Langer and so on, once you pick one thats it cannot be one of the other 16 players, players who have only captain odd games aren't included in that. Also you can only assign 2 goalkickers(you can still select players who were regular kickers, but only assign two) for the Broncos in your 17 so choose wisely.

Name your regular 17, captain and vice captain as well as your goalkickers(main and backup).

Maybe I didn't explain it well enough, when I said you could only select one fulltime captain, I mean you can only select one of Lockyer, Lewis, Langer etc, you can't have more then one in your side. Just to make things interesting instead of just selecting all the likes of those topline players (and thus making the sides a bit predictable). So when I picked Lockyer that meant I couldn't pick a Langer etc.

Sorry Sam Thaiday is now a fulltime captain(even though his not officially captained for a full season he is still captain fulltime, not just a filler in), doesn't qualify to be with another fulltime captain.

Also you don't have to go strictly with players who went well for all or most of their career at the club, for example Scott Prince had a shocking run of injuries, or Scott Anderson might actually produce something worthwhile maybe under your coaching it could have been different? I went with Paul Hauff at fullback because I feel with a bit of luck on his side in the injury department he could have really developed into something special. Harvey Howard was a forward who was outstanding for us in 2000 especially when Webcke got injured and a player I wish was with the club longer.

I think its a real shame that Prince had the run of injuries he had with us, because i think he could have been an awesome player for us. unfortuantely we couldn't keep both him and Seymour and due to his injuries the club decided on Seymour, wrong decision in hind sight.

Baby Broncos fan there Penny. I was a fulltime Roosters fan at the time but I remember watching in amazement as they wiped the Tigers away.

from your team i would have started civo at prop with Gillett on the bench, or if your really keen on Gillett starting then i would have moved Carroll to the bench as an impact player and had Gillett in the second row with Civo starting :cheers:
