It's safe to say, those of us blessed to be Queenslanders know that at the moment there is only need for one minor selection change due to Hodges injury.

However, if you were a NSW coach/selector/player/supporter and hadn't already killed yourself, what changes would you make to your Game 2 team?

I reckon they should be dropping McManus, who offered nothing. Lyons who didn't want to be there (typical of NSW mentality) shouldn't be a done thing ( maybe Beau Scott?).

Watmough must make it into the 17 (I'd have him starting to bring O'Donnell on as an impact firecracker. O'Donnell should be given a green light to hurt QLD, even if illegally) and Gallen will be available.

I also just want to say the following names, because it's evident that there needs to be changes in the NSW front row;
Gallaway, Luke Stuart, Shackleton, Josh Perry.

1. Gidley (best.captain's knock.ever [icon_lol1. )
2. Hayne
3. Jennings
4. Lyons (Scott?)
5. Monaghan
6. Campese
7. Wallace
8. Kite (He had no impact against QLD, insert one of the above listed Props here)
9. Farah
10. Bailey
11. Glenn Stewart
12. Creagh
13. Gallen

14. Wing
15. O'Donnell
16. Watmough
17. Josh Perry

NSW have a plethora of backrowers, if they can get just one decent prop to stand up (to aid Bailey), I think Game 2 will be theirs.

Thoughts?

I would bring Weyman in to start and put Houston on the bench at Kite's expense, Houston can play prop, second row and lock and is in as good a form as anyone. Also McManus out for Monaghan.

They could bring in Joel Clinton.

He's been in some decent form, i don't think he'd let them down either.

True, I forgot Clinton. He should be in that mix as well.

Dump Campese too. He's a talented player but he just doesn't fit with Farah and Wallace. Bring in Mullen or Wing as his replacement. Mullen knows when to take a backseat and Wing combined with Wallace pretty well in City-Country.

1. Gidley
2. Hayne
3. Jennings
4. Cooper (they need defence and he is the best in this department)
5. Monaghan
6. Mullen (i dont think campese is good at taking a back seat, so unless hes the main play maker, i would go with mullen)
7. Wallace
8. Weyman
9. Farah
10. Bailey
11. Gallen
12. Creagh
13. O'Donnell

14. Wing
15. Laffranchi
16. Watmough
17. Stewart

Do you really think it's a good idea to have no props on the bench?

1.Kurt Gidley (C)
2.Jarrod Hayne
3.Michael Jennings
4.Matt Cooper
5.Joel Monaghan
6.Jarrod Mullen
7.Peter Wallace
8.Luke Bailey
9.Robbie Farah
10.Michael Weyman
11.Ben Creagh
12.Nathan Hindmarsh
13.Luke O'Donnell

14.Craig Wing
15.Trent Waterhouse
16.Keith Galloway/Brent Kite
17.Justin Poore

18.Luke Lewis

IMO Hindy needs to be there but we all know he won't get picked. I would pick Galloway but he is injured at the moment. I feel really bad by leaving Luke Lewis out but I just can't fit him in. If he was to play I would start him at lock, not bring him off the bench. I went with Cooper instead of Lyon because Lyon done nothing and didn't want to be there in the first place and Joel Monaghan would be my first choice replacement for McMuffin who done nothing in game 1. I thought I would give Mullen a shot and I think hes a better 6 then 7 and Campese done nothing in game 1. Waterhouse has been in good form of late, made arroud 160m, 41tackles, 3 offloads, no errors and hardly any missed tackles in his last game, hes worth a shot.

IMO, they should only make 1 change and thats Monaghan in for McManus what they should have done in the first place

1.Gidley
2.Hayne
3.Jennings
4.Monaghan
5.David Williams
6.Campese
7.Mullen
8.Weyman
9.Farah
10.Bailey
11.Waterhouse
12.Creagh
13.Gallen

14.Tupou
15.Poore
16.Take your pick of props here
17.Wing

If I had no heart... I would be looking to weaken their squad as much as possible... so this is what I would do -

1. Gidley
2. Quinn
3. Jennings
4. Lyon
5. Turner
6. Finch
7. Pearce
8. White
9. Farah
10. Mason
11. Stewart
12. Hoffman
13. Laffranchi

14. Fitzgibbon
15. Ryan
16. Watmough
17. Perry

That would be too funny to watch!

Now being serious:

1. Gidley
2. Hayne
3. Jennings
4. Lyon
5. Monaghan
6. Campese
7. Wallace
8. Bailey
9. Farah
10. Poore
11. O'Donnell
12. Creagh
13. Lewis

14. Wing
15. Waterhouse
16. Gallen
17. Weyman

My mistake. Drop stewart in that case, bring in poore

Brett Stewart should be back he needs to be there. Josh Morris should of been their origin one if not for injury, he's back now should be there next origin. Mcmanus must go, Brett Morris been in red hot form, should be at winger instead and next to his brother would help with his debut and his brothers debut. Mullen next to Wallace would be a lot better and Farah could really shine, Gidley is a great utility and would be best there, Farah starting captain and Gidley captain when he gets on field I guess. Can't drop Wing because he was great in game one, backrow are all 80 minute players so no replacements there, two props on the bench.

I think that team could prove a much better challenge.

1.Brett Stewart
2.Jarrod Hayne
3.Michael Jennings
4.Josh Morris
5.Brett Morris
6.Jarrod Mullen (how's Barret going, anyone think he'd be good?)
7.Peter Wallace
8.Luke Bailey
9.Robbie Farah (c)
10.Michael Weyman
11.Ben Creagh
12.Paul Gallen
13.Luke O'Donnell

14.Kurt Gidley
15.Joel Clinton
16.Craig Wing
17.Justin Poore

Outside of his 2 errors Gidley was probably their best player and was voted players' player, he is also the captain and if not the form player in the game very close to it. You want to move him to the bench LOLZ!

I'm amazed people are dropping Campese over Wallace. Both were poor in the first game but IMO Campese has the ability to have a much bigger impact than Wallace.

I am of much the same thinking, I think they need to stick with the 6 and 7 now but Mullen as much as he claims he isn't is a 7 and is far more creative than Wallace. Sure Wallace suits Origin in that he is tough but he lacks the ability to tear a game apart and playing along side a rookie 6 and 9 was always going to make it even harder. NSW needed points in this series and Mullen provides more than Wallace does.

I agree he's their captain and one of their best players but Stewart if in form is a freak and should be at #1, Gidley could be at 6 or bench, he is one of the best utilities in the comp bench with good game time wouldn't be bad, Stewart when he returns if he's in the same form he was earlier on in the season can't be left out.

He's their captain, but it doesn't mean he has to get a starting position if the team can be strengthened by him playing on the bench (or 6 perhaps).
