If you had no heart, what changes would you make?

I have also been thinking - Bryson Goodwin wouldn't look out of place in a Blues jumper either.
Because if you squint he looks like Anthony Minicello? eusa_think

If they pick Cooper, I wonder if they would pick him on the right side to put their best defender up against Inglis? Given Tonga would be playing on his unpreferred side, and Inglis is obviously Queensland's biggest backline weapon, how would Cooper go defending against him?

WTF?

And Jeb - If they pick Cooper, he'll definitely be covering Inglis. In fact, that would be one of the main reasons why they'd pick him.[/quote:3dfe78uz]

But remember we are talking about NSW, they are dumb as all shit [icon_wink They both played all 3 games last year and Cooper was on the other side to what Inglis was. The result?

[icon_lol1. [icon_lol1. [icon_lol1. I just love the look on Mark Gasnier's face in that photo! It's like 'what the hell just happened?!'. I really do miss NSW having players in the team that I hate with a passion, kinda takes some of the fun out of it!

You don't hate Hayne?

Lets say nsw goes with the following:

Gidley
Hayne
Jennings
Cooper
Morris

That right there is an unbelievable backline and one that can match QLD's. lyon and mcmanus were bad choices for game 1, this would be a much stronger team

Clearly I'm very tired and delirious, how on earth did I forget Hayne?!?! [eusa_doh

Though I still wish they had Gasnier, Mason etc. That was always so much fun.

1.Gidley
2.Morris
3.Jennings - Morris if Jennings is injured.
4.Cooper
5.Hayne
6.Mullen
7.Wallace
8.Bailey
9.Farah
10.Weyman
11.Creagh
12.Hindmarsh
13.O'Donnell

14.Wing
15.Waterhouse
16.Galloway
17.Kite/Poore

That would be my team.

This is the problem with NSW. I'd make no changes. The reason they haven't won for the past three years is the fact that they have barely kept the nucleus of a team together. Fail. After game one, i knew they were going to do their thing again - but they'd win by next year at least if they kept that side together. Gave the supposed "best ever" Qld team a hell of a run.

The one thing Gus has said in the last 30 years that I agree with is that for NSW to have any chance this season it was to pick a 1, 6, 7 and 9 and give them the WHOLE series to settle into it.

Sure enough, 1 game in they decide one of them had to go. And if you listened to Bellamy last night, you wonder why he kept Wallace too.

NSW simply have absolutely no fucking brains or forethought.

Um...the only change they have made was Trent Barrett in for Campese and Watmough in for Laffranchi.

How is that massive changes?

How can you say changing the 6, when there is no injury and no excuse, is not a massive change
- are you in denial rocky??

^ I'll say.

NSW needed to just pick a side, and if necessary, sacrifice (for want of a better word) this series for the sake of years to come. If they lost, so be it, build for the future. To bring in a new half who will potentially only have a few days to work with some of the backs (Bellamy said he's giving the injured players until Friday to be in training with the team) is a massive change, no matter how you look at it - especially after only losing 1 game - and it's a backward step for what NSW were surely trying to achieve.

What happens if they lose game 2? Do they drop Barrett? If they win the series and Barrett's not playing next year, they're back at square one yet again. It seems NSW want immediate success, and aren't thinking at all long term. QLD did the right thing in 2005 - yes they lost the series, but it was about building a team that would be around and producing the goods for years to come. NSW could do worse than take a leaf out of their book.

Yep, Emma is on the money. In 2005 we lost the series with Thurston, Lockyer & Smith, but we kept them. We even lost game 1 in 2006, but they stuck by the nucleas of the team and in Game 2 named Thurston, Smith & Lockyer again....the rest is History. There is no way those guys would have played the same number of games for NSW if they were eligible, they would have been thrown out in 2005.

What did Bellamy say about Wallace?

Basically:
- halves were shit in game 1
- we decided we needed experience
- Wallace himself knows he did a lot of stuff shit during the game
- Wallace knows he has a lot to work on
- we dropped Campese, so Wallace is on notice
- I didn't see Wallace place on Friday night, but apparently it was crap

Words to that effect anyway.

[icon_lol1. That's instilling confidence, right there. [icon_lol1.

So you're psychic now?

And if you lose the series?

Lose the next game (which loses the series) then Wallace will go, and they'll bring in Kimmorley for Game 3.

LOLZISKATES.
