Intrust Super Cup 2018

So this Clifford fella is supposed to be really good? Is he the type of half we need? We'd probably want to go with actual experience though if we did look for someone else.

Thunderbolts now top of the table.

The statistic making the Thunderbolts early season dominance more impressive is the number of Victorian juniors who are in the side and Jack paid tribute to the tireless work that NRL Victoria staff did to ensure the game continues to grow in such a competitive market.
“Eighty percent of our players are local Victorian juniors and it all stems from the program that NRL Victoria has put in place with a lot of these players having played together through the representative systems they have established, so it’s been an extremely good pathway for them,” he said.
Another barrier the team face most weeks is the amount of travel they have to do in order to compete in elite competitions like the Hastings Deering Colts.

I have been impressed over the last five weeks. I think he's an NRL half or shows the traits of an NRL half. Dominating the ball over Carney said plenty about how he's going at the moment.

He's signed at the Cows till 2019.

Croft v Clifford today on 9.

Should be good to see.

Cooper Johns made his ISC debut tonight for Falcons going from Colts to ISC.

Anderson out had hand surgery this week.

Wynnum up 10-0
Tweed back to 12-10
22-22 seconds to go.
Tweed go field goal.
Hits the post.
Back to Tweed.
Two passes scores in the corner!
Tweed win.

Clifford extended until end of 2020 at Cowboys. He's a goodun'

Hannant back tomorrow for Bears.

Hannant, Page, Leary and White with Politoni stealing runs. Going to be a great match up to see how Haas goes. One thing starting against a terrible Tweed side and doing well. Another to take on these guys.

Match of the round.

Terrible game, I think that was Haas' worst game too. Carrigan was strong- few silly off-loads when it wasn't on. Wynnum are in a hole.

Losing Funaki probably stuffed up their rotations and meant they couldn't use Haas like they would normally.

Carrigan 150m

Strong carries. Just put away the offload.

Mal Meninga Cup Finals Week 1:
Sunday, April 29
Norths Devils (1) v Mackay Cutters (4) at Davies Park, West End - 1pm
Tweed Heads Seagulls (2) v Souths Logan Magpies (3) at Davies Park, West End - 3pm

Norths up 22-0 not even half time yet. They're too strong for Mackay. Bullemor has been outstanding.

Mackay get on the board; need to stop giving away penalties. Norths' halves just guide these big guys through the set and Mackay keep handing them 30m a set to help.

26-4 Norths.

Mackay drop the kick off and Norths score.
Norths 32-6 at half time.

Safe to say Norths are in the MM final.

And Cutters score twice- good call on Norths.

Norths 32-18

Cutters in again, too many penalties from Norths and repeated sets.
