Is Lachlan Maranta Really That Bad?

These guys are probably in the same class.

Justin O'Neil, Jonathan Wright, Joel Reddy, Anthony Don.

I'd probably take Maranta over the above.

Better the devil you know.

I will grant you that he is probably the second on the list, and a testament to Sticky's coaching shittiness, but still better than Maranta.

FTR, people may think I hate the kid, because I do judge him harshly, but I would love for him to prove me wrong. He certainly deserves it.
I just don't think he has the talent, ability and instinct to be anything more than a mediocre winger.

I dont think you hate the kid, but you are wrong in your claim that he is the worst winger in the NRL. So far you have one other person agreeing with you

No, I don't think Maranta has ever had a magnificent game, he also has never been consistently ridiculously poor as Bill Topou. You think that Maranta bombs tries... Topou has made bombing tries an art form

I wouldn't.

It's too early to tell about Don, and despite being pretty average the others have certainly shown more in their careers than Maranta.
 
The fact that it's hard to come up with wingers worse than Maranta after the latter has played 40 or so games underlines exactly what's wrong with him.

Sure does try hard though. Shame he doesn't have the talent of a skilled **** like Blake Ferguson.
 
Is safe and solid under the high ball but is a bit of a spud elsewhere, his best attribute is his realibility he doesn't have the speed and strength and finishing skills.

Yes this is primary school, where people take everything super seriously. Sorry for being a child and saying boom. I'll be sure to keep my responses on BHQ more mature in the future.
