Is there such thing as a Broncos Fan who is a Blues supporter?

There has to be some other connection to a team other than seeing them on TV tk be a true fan though. Doesn’t mean you had to travel there or anything. Just something more than watching them on TV

I go for Arsenal because I liked Thierry Henry, and used to always play as Arsenal when playing Fifa.

People attach themselves to teams for different reasons. Being a true fan is sticking with them in the long run through the highs and lows (not how you initially started to follow them).

Being a true fan is avoiding gatekeeping, and instead swinging it all the way open.

I too am from NSW but support the Broncos and QLD... I was always too scared to admit it on here, but now that we're all coming out of the woodwork I feel safe enough to join in.

Same thing as others... my old man is a Broncos fan and I grew up watching and cheering for the Broncs and QLD since I was little and (thankfully) never looked back.

Geez you soccer peeps are weird as ****. I played it for years and loved it, but could never stand watching it.

On the flip side, I never played league. I was 5'5 and 52kg dripping wet on graduating highschool, so that's a fair indication why lol. Alfie was my idol!! Apparently though, I can't be a fan because I grew up in regional Qld watching the Broncos through the 90's without ever attending a game?

My first game attendance was as a 10yo, a 1994 Anzac Test vs the Kiwis at Lang Park. My second game was an origin probably a year or two later, with a couple of Broncos games and another origin sometime between then and finishing school. After which I went to uni at Griffith and got to quite a few games at ANZ in the early 2000's while Suncorp was being refurbed.

I've lived from the Sunny Coast to the Gold Coast since and been to many Broncos and Origin games - but the seed was planted in the back-to-back 1993/1994 years as an impressionable young fella, growing up in regional Qld knowing the Broncos were "my" team as the only Qld team represented in the dirty NSWRL, and didn't they hate us for it. My love for the club has only grown since.

Am I a 'real' fan?

1992/1993 premiership years*

...FFS what a typo, maybe I'm not a real fan after all...

Some of earliest childhood memories are watching either the 92 or 93 grand final and I was hooked from then.

Screw you NSW Wankers, born and bred Qlder and lifelong Broncos fan here. I don't even watch any other games other than the Broncos and Origin. If somehow the Broncos disappeared tomorrow, I can't see myself watching RL at all anymore outside of Origin.

I never played RL (parents said I was too small, I say they were too lazy) and never attended a game until I was an adult.

So I started supporting in the glory years watching on TV.
I rarely go to a live game and I'd rather stay at home and watch on TV than attend a live game.

Am I not a real fan? I'm confused.

Not a real fan. Joining a forum for the team means nothing too. You are just trying to cover up the fact you aren’t a fan. Unless you live within 2 km of either red hill or Suncorp, you cannot be considered a true fan.

There
Don't even get me started on soccer fans. Absolute dorks of the highest order.

I support my local team. Most fans who arent UK based are glory hunters really because its not like they can have a local English or Italian or Spanish side. I guess if they have migrant parents they will have an affinity with a certain team.
