I don't think anyone wanted Hook to remain as our coach... Those that were vocal about it (like myself), were against the choice of his replacement.

And i think nearly all if us have admitted we got the call wrong.

Ouch. That's going to be awkward... I don't think P-Wall has much more left in the tank though. Another injury and he's probably done. This may force his hand?

That aside, I just don't see this as a good move by Penrith. Had a bumper 2014, and you can largely chalk a disappointing 2015 up to a horrendous injury toll. I thought they could well have been in the mix next year, provided half their cap wasn't on the sidelines again.

If the relationship between Gus and Ivan was that bad, I suppose it was an inevitable conclusion. Better now than mid season. Can't say I have a lot of faith in Hook, but I do hope he makes the most of his second tenure in the top grade.
