But that's not really a valid reason. We signed Bird in April. We were after Taylor long after that.

They would have an idea of what they were willing to pay both players though within our budget.

I was highly critical of him at first but the guy was so bad I started to feel sorry for him. I remember the GF a few years ago he played well as a hard running centre. Was hardly ever going to be another Inglis or Lockyer but was better than average. Maybe his new found weight and accompanying loss of speed prevents him from playing like that now.

Because you throw around baseless crap like Bird faking an injury to save face for Bennett and himself like it's an actual possibility. I merely asked the question of what was going on with him, commented about the way he played in the GF a few years ago and on the extra weight he seems to be carrying around now.
