Single, cold, alone and forever wondering what could have been had the ship not sunk?

Funny that, I immediately thought of another "Rose" when I read that... Charlie anyone? [icon_razz1

Deadset Rocky. You're such a little bitch [icon_lol1.

No, I just hate retards stuffing up perfectly good threads by talking bullshit. This is a Jack Reed appreciation thread, it's not about having digs at people.

As an moderator, I thought you might crack down on stuff like that but clearly you're struggling to grasp the concept of what a moderator should be doing.

And you would think as a developer of this website the place would be UP AND **** ing RUNNING BY NOW.

But lets not let our 'job descriptions" interfere with a good thread.

Never bring up you dislike of Nashys Mod skills again please Shaun. Got a problem; take to Chris via PM. Not public.

And FTR, Nashy has done more as Mod than nearly anyone else who was a Mod before him.

Back ontopic.

Reed for SOO woot woot.

Not nice when someone has a go at you about the job your mean to do in this place huh. Imagine how Nashy feels (I guess it doesn't sit well with him) when you constantly give him shit about it.

And the last 6 years worth of good work that you have done here is slowly being unraveled by you rubbing people the wrong way. But hey each to there own.

Reed IMO is our Rookie of the year. Question is will he suffer 2nd year syndrome like someofnour other stars before him?

He has to complete the first year before we worry about 2nd year syndrome.

I know, but even if he said I'm gunna sit out te rest of the year and study or what ever, I still think he's been our Rookie of the year. Not just for our club but in the NRL. Has any other rookie come close to him so far this year?

Easily our rookie of the year.

For the NRL overall though it's been a pretty good year if he can keep his current form going he may be in with a chance.

Loved these quotes from him after last night:

"I wouldn't say it was one of my best performances, I had a lot of defensive errors personally,"

"But I'm enjoying my footy at the moment. I'll let everyone else say who's good and who's bad, hey?"

Seems like he's got a real level head on his shoulders.

Will Hopoate
Kalifa Fai Fai Loa
Gareth Widdop (To be confirmed)

He'd be very level. All that practice laying bricks...

I'd say it's down to him and Cherry Evans at this stage.

Hopoate has been very good too...

I know but ultimately hopoate's success is down to foran and cherry Evans. Reed's shown so much even without decent ball

Hopoate is good with or without help. I remember watching him at fullback and watching him come up with some big plays like getting out of the in goal with an entire chase team descending upon him and he did it as if he was Minichiello circa 2003. He breaks tackles flat footed and he can finish tries that most players wouldn't dream of trying. The fact he was selected and played well at Origin level is a testament to his abilities.

Widdop is in a similar category as DCE for me but while DCE is good at controlling a game, Widdop is good at breaking it wide open. I believe he tops or at least topped the season for linebreaks and the way he plays reminds me a bit like Locky, which is something that is so uncommon.

Fai Fai Loa is just a freak, a strong winger who can busts tackles like they're nothing and finishes tries that are seemingly impossible. Probably more a benefactor of others than the other guys listed but the difference he's made to the Cowboys is astronomical.

Reed is there abouts, I like him, he's generally a good defender and his foot-work at the line is great but the players I've listed have shown more with the ball in hand.

T Sims is more about who's been feeding him the pill. Thurston's made a lot of those left edge backrowers look better than what they really are.
