James Segeyaro signs with Broncos - Effective Immediately

Seibs didn't seem convinced :')
Siebs had a look on his face didnt he. Almost like it was a joke signing. Maybe he had no input into it and the board got together for drink and ended up getting the check book out at the end of the night.

I think if he knew Macca isn’t out for ~3 months like they thought he probably wouldn’t have ok’d the signing. Said explicitly he has to train well, earn the trust of the players AND the coaches before he gets a spot. We’ll see if that holds true.

Quote from that article "Segeyaro was a boyhood Broncos fan with Darren Lockyer as his hero and Karmichael Hunt photos adorning his bedroom wall."

At his peak this bloke was only a step behind Cameron Smith. If he behaves and can get back some of that old Form he might be just want the Broncos need.

I've always rated him and I think he's going to put in and light us up from the ptb. I'm hoping the others around him are smart enough to figure out there's going to be lots of opportunities to get some space. It will come with some loss of possession but we might have enough points already from his incisions. It's got excitement written all over it.

It's not a charity team for lost causes we're running. If Turpin is knocking the door down to play NRL the spots his. He's not been though and bringing in competition means only the strongest will get the gig.
Technically no because he's not in our top 30

Just remember people it will take a few games to learn our plays and get in the grove and If Turps plays well we may just see the two of these blokes in the team for the rest of the year or one or the other subing in for Macca. It is about time we have options in the 9 and not just a given selection when healthy for Andrew.
What plays

Play the ball speed doesn't mean shit when you're not focusing on the basics like catching. Case in point, Brisbane Broncos 2019.
You know what contributes dropped balls? Fatigue
You know what contributes to fatigue?
Defending too much and being wacked in tackles
You know why that happens to the Broncos?
Lack of spark and speed out of dummy half both with service and running options as the opposition D don't have to get at the hooker from marker. If they did, it would cause the opposition to fatigue at a faster rate also, therefore reducing their tackle effectiveness and therefore not sting so hard in their tackle efforts.

Causing faster PTB, bigger gaps allowing better PCM, allowing players like Milford to attach those gaps and cause line breaks.

It is all connected. A hooker with an attacking game is 100% necessary especially when you have a plodder fullback who doesn't cause the defence of opposition any head aches like Teddy or Slater once did

Macca can't walk back in and take his spot

Depends on your life outlook mate tbh and things you may have been torugh. Boyd was more than likely of the same frame of mind in say 2015 or 2016. Difference is, nobody would have made a big issue of it because he was performing in the field. He isnt now so saying things like that are obviously going to cause him issues. I think its more than possible to treat it as a game and still do your job.
That's true.

I work and run a section of our printing business. And when I start getting really overwhelmed and stressed about something.. one of the other workers says "it's just printing"

Actually pretty grounding to say. Even though it feels like the whole W is ending.. it's only printing. Then you can move on and mentally recalibrate for the tasks at hand

At least now, with 3 specialist hookers, Macca, Turpin and Seggy provide us with some options. They all have their various strengths.
"specialist" [emoji2957] ha

How loosely that term is used nowadays.
Unless I'm misinterpreting the context it needs

What the hell? This is a reach if I’ve ever seen one. We are rarely dropping balls because of sting in the tackles haha

And why are they dropping the ball at the beginning of the game? How are they fatigued that quickly. Fucking McCullough

I'm not having a pop at Bennett, just giving an alternative view to the constant and relentless seibold bashing that goes on by the same people at every opportunity.
Why even bring Bennett up then? Surely it's enough for Siebold to be a good coach without having to retcon Wayne into a bad one.

"trouble is, we don't have Wayne to guide him"...... That's what I responded too. Not sure how I would respond to that comment without Bennett being mentioned? Unless he was talking about another Wayne?
