Thoughts on Jordy being back from 2 ACL, 1 MCL, 1 hammy and a broken left hand which needed 5 screws. Having to learn to walk again twice and challenging mental demons throughout these injuries, I think it is wonderful that this young winger from Lower Hutt returns with his best mate (Alex Glenn) by his side.

Obviously he has a lot of mental strength and a real desire to play league to come back from that many injuries.

Can't help but admire his resolve to keep pushing forward.

I have my reservations about his longevity given his injury history, which is a shame, as I think he's got the right stuff between the ears. Too often the reverse is true (physically able but lacking in instincts).

Why are we all so pessimistic about his future? It doesn't look good at the mo but he played well in his first game back after a looong off season. A serious outside back injury or Vidot keeping tradition by falling out of favor at another club could see him get an extended shot.

For the record, Copley hasn't been officially re-signed yet, I can only assume that we will be doing so shortly, but in the off chance that we don't, Kahu could become a first grade regular.

I would assume that a fully fit Kahu would even be ahead of Maranta in the pecking order. And I wouldn't be surprised if 2015 is Hodges' last. If he can wait a year, fill in when needed, there's a spot for him if he's good enough.

The latter three injuries aren't that bad and can probably be expected for most players, two acl's though, that's tough to come back from (although it's easier when you're younger!) and definitely requires a lot of determination and resolve.

I don't rate him as highly as others seem to but he seems serviceable on the wings. Have always been against this idea that he'll be a gun 5/8th though.

Some of you guys wrote off Copley as average first grader at best in the preseason so I would not be too quick to write off Kahu. He is another talent no doubt just has to rid himself of the injury curse

Tend to agree here. The club was willing to let go of players like Beale & Norman, but they've persisted with Kahu even though he's played minimal first grade. Let's just pretend that that same argument isn't also true of Hala...
