Reed had a run of pretty bad form and so did Barba. It was the same last year with some players as well. Poor form is ok for some but not others.
Peter Psaltis talked with Martin Kennedy tonight. At least he's nothing if not honest especially talking about his form.

Yeah that was a great interview. One thing that struck me was how aware Kennedy was of everything - his own form, public perception and even semi-obscure stats like Inglis' try scoring record and how many times we've lost when leading in the last 10 minutes. It definitely allayed any concerns I had that he just came up to Brisbane to collect a paycheck.
I haven't heard the interview but I've seen him before on Broncos TV when he was talking about a bunch of reptiles he owned.
Anyway, regardless of the anecdote, I couldn't give a shit if a player sounded like Barack Obama or the drunk at the local, his eloquence is meaningless when it comes to his onfield performance.
I'd rather a sack of shit that couldn't string two words together but was dynamite on the field than someone who was a scholar off it but a pillow on it.
The only two stats Kennedy should be attaching any significant to is meters run and tackles made (and maybe missed tackles, but that would be three... ).

The first step to fixing his on-field performance is recognizing there is a problem
“Over the last few weeks I reckon I’ve been pretty good,” Barba said. “I’m not going that bad. I only dropped one bomb (against Penrith) and you can’t catch them all.”
