THE EX Kevin Walters

No real point getting rid of Walters. The players are just useless. I bet Reynolds is glad there is a cooling of period after signing a contract, doubt he will end up coming and if he does he won't make any diffrence.

There isn't a cooling off period now. It is 10 days and a club can't announce it until the 10 days after signing is over.

Let it not be forgotten that he's Coaching a worse roster than the one that just put in one of the historically poorest performances in modern NRL history.

Is it a worse roster though in actuality, this is the key question? Don't get me wrong, Seibold can only blame himself for the horrible roster he assembled but last year Milford, Bird, Lodge, Fifita, Pangai Jr, etc were all missing for extended periods.

The question is, has the side Kevvie inherited improved overall? I would say yes it has. There are also good moves happening off field which wasn't happening under the previous coach and regime.

I think so far, looking at things, all of Carrigan (before injury), Flegler, TPJ, Paix, Coates, Hetherington have clearly improved.

Farnworth, Turpin, Isaako, Riki, Bullemor, Croft, Dearden have all stagnated / regressed,

In short, the jury is still out.

Maybe Kevvie needs to look more at the staff he bought with him.
100%. Cartwright doesn't know what it takes to win. Hagan should have been an assistant for Walters. Bennett should always be involved in the club and they should have offered Cameron Smith an assistant role with the aim of him replacing Walters in a few years. We simply couldn't fail with those blokes at the club.

I genuinely would love to be able to look into an alternate reality where Wayne replaced Seibold, just to see what the great one could’ve gotten out of this squad.

Would we see the same floggings and terrible defence? This isn’t even really a shot at Kev, just an actual curiosity.

We were copping floggings under Bennett. How can we forget St George in the finals plus everytime we played Storm in recent times.
Our decline started under Bennetts watch.
I don’t mean to start this debate again. The Rabbitohs aren’t exactly flying with a far better roster either. I would just love to know for sure what it would’ve looked like - out of morbid curiosity.

Our right wing has been letting in tries since 2017. Before Coates it was Isaako coming off the wing. Quite often you couldn’t even see them on the replay because they had run in. Kev has improved this a little bit and Cobbo doesn’t seem to need as much learnin’ as the others.
Plus too many players on the roster are Bennett projects.with issues to overcome (for some reason they are also NSW players predominantly)

I wrote a comment online on Craddock's article in the Courier Fail this morning. At the end of the article he wrote about the Broncos fans not writing complaints about big losses anymore because they have in effect been desensitised by having so many.

The comment I made was when can we expect to see someone from the Board, senior management or the recruitment and retention team being held accountable for all of the decisions in the last 4 years that have led the club being where it is. When can we expect someone will, fall on their sword?

Nothing abusive, pretty much word for word as above. Surprise, surprise, it did not get published.

Only time that will happen, is when the money train slows and they can‘t blame it on COVID…

Then they’ll probably sack Donaghy instead of the real problems at the club…

It's more likely to be understaffing in comment moderation than censorship. They vet everything before it goes live and often it never gets looked at.

I wonder if he chopped and changed his halves like this during his stint in England?

I just need to know this is him trying to instil some standards at the club and not just throwing darts every 2nd week because next season when we get Reynolds, we can't be throwing darts anymore.

My predition. No spoon. Scrapping into the 8.
Some floggings, as they are just part of V'landys ball now.

Basically we end up re-signing Macca, kodi and milf and finish 6-10 with a week one finals exit.
