RANT Let Herbie go, NOW!

Herbie doesn’t pass and has fine tuned his finishing skills this year. Burdening him now would be a mistake.

I don't see Herbie doing anything he hasn't done since 2018. He played four games in the centre in Cup and 21 on the wing and was excellent roaming around doing whatever he wanted.

I have compared him to Tate since 2018.

I don't understand this either. Herbie has openly complained in interviews about Oatesy always calling for the ball like he's a pest. Like what the ****?

It's almost like they are mates and can say shit like that.

Thats not the case though with Herbie. The bloke outside him has no issues with him. If he was as bad and as selfish as people are making out he wouldnt be anywhere near the team, nobody wants a selfish team mate.

I think people are reading way too much into it. Most players have dips in form.

Defence against Titans was rock solid where you controlled that left edge and closed play down. I would like to see you with good ball so you too. could display your dangerous open filed running prowess. willing to always take them tough 1st and 2nd carries.

I see where your thinking is at. Riki rarely passes anyway like you say and it'll be easier to cut Herbie out at 2nd row than at centre and get the ball to Oates. He's also not small, 190cm and 100+kg. He's also a very good defender

And if you move him to that side when he does his natural run to the right hand side instead of going into more defence he will be running at a half and a possible hole!

We won't, and I bet he'd hate it formalized, but I've always seen Capewell as the centre on that edge, and Herbie the second rower. Pair him with Mariner and he never gets called a hog again.

Hey @Dolphin ... just wondering why and how this thread exists if he is the "best centre in the game". He isn't even in the top 10, and by the end of the year if he keeps up his current form he wouldn't be in the top 2 at the broncos.


Also, you'd be hard pressed to find a broncos fan who said before or after he signed for the dolphins that flegler was a better starter than a bench player. If you TRULY think he is in our top 3 players (HAHAHA) weird that the whole of the fan base would prefer him off the bench...

Neither are in our top 5 players yet you've paid them in our top 3. Have fun...

Herbie in the first part of the season was probably the form center going around. He was playing really well but his form has dropped off the last 3 or 4 weeks. If he hadn't signed elsewhere , all this over dramatic kick him out now nonsense wouldnt be happening. He'd be getting criticised, and rightly so but we wouldnt be trying to boot him out.

The problem with Herbie is a rather quick one to assess.

When he is beating defenders with his speed and power, you look like a fool if you call him out for not being able to set up his winger, however when he's not beating defenders you'd barely pay him anything to play, it's that big of a difference.
