Meireles really needs to drop into the central midfield role, Gerrard sitting behind Torres. Everytime he gets the ball, Meireles looks quality but he doesn't turn to link with Torres, his first reaction is to play it back. Gerrard would turn, head up.. see what he can provide Torres. AT the moment that's where our play is stopping.

It boggles my mind how manager after manager at Liverpool continue to think Jamie Carragher is a remotely decent player let alone a starting centre half. He was awful again today as he is often is and his complete lack of effort to stop Berbatov's winner is yet another example of how crap he is.

And Skrtel is any better?? Pullleasee. Carragher is solid and should be partnering Agger. I don't know what Hodgson has against Agger but it blows me away.

Skrtel is an accident waiting to happen. In his first season, I was really impressed. Then he got that injury against Chelsea and I don't think he's been the same since.

Agger definitely needs to be starting.

Carragher couldn't have done much to stop Berbatov's third goal anyway. He had to jump from a standing start, whilst Berbatov was able to run at the ball. Combine that with the fact that Berbatov is fair bit taller than Carragher, and there's your answer.
