Surely there's a better, cheaper prop running around in Q Cup that can do exactly the same job Woods would do for us.

Woods IS cheap - not a lot above base price cheap if Cronulla wanted to retain him.

So the question again is why? You aren't going to get a better player than him at 200k. Why doesn't anyone want him at that price even for depth? Talent wise, that's a steal.

I obviously can't speak for the clubs out there so I'm really not sure. I do know the Sharks knocked back an offer from his management for a deal that was a lot less than $200k.
