While I acknowledge this wonderful place allows us the right to express our views and vent our anger, these sorts of personal agenda threads piss me off and drag the Forum down.

Whatever one thinks of a player ought to be based on clear and demonstrable facts, and for mine are best addressed in post and pre-game match analysis, where they can be viewed in context of specific games, with evidence based assessments.

For mine, these knee jerk personal agendas - like the one about "Gillett to Qld Cup" are a waste of space.

I thought his first few performances were pretty good.

I think it all goes back to Hook having real problems getting the best out of his players.

I also wonder if the players are starting to lose confidence in him. Hodges demeanor in the presser seems to suggest a rather unhappy chappy

Josh Hoffman.

People give him way too much credit for his performance on the wing last year. He has done nothing to suggest he'll be able to replicate that again. Selfish, arrogant, ballhogging tool.

I don't necessarily disagree. Lowrie is a strange selection. I think his ideal role would be just as a tackling machine and to play as many minutes as possible. Not getting a stint off the bench for 7 or so minutes. Strange selection. I cannot figure out our bench use for the life of me.

Overrated players for mine are Reed, Glenn, Kennedy, Hannant, McGuire, McCullough and Hoffman.

They all play well in patches but are just far too inconsistent.

Agree Kennedy is overrated - but he is still a non-rep bench warmer.

Compare that to an international, and "future captain" like Glenn - who runs with the impact of a feather duster and tops missed tackle percentages for his position - for the entire comp. Also consider who was favoured and caused Te'o to be shipped out. That's way, way, waaaay overrated in my book.

Kennedy is costing the Broncos big bucks in comparison to Glenn. I do agree though he has had no impact this season.

He has not shown that he can even play at five-eight yet some people were saying he would walk into the 6 jersey upon returning with absolutely no reason to show he would. Therefore he is rated by some more than he should be.

That's not right... People are/were saying he should walk into the jersey because of how poor Hoffman is as a 5/8, not because of highly rated Kahu is. And there was a reason, he's the guy who trained the entire off season to start in the 6 but injury meant Hoffman had the spot.
