BASKETBALL NBA

Hornets during their half time show against the 76er's had their mascot giving out gifts to kids that were selected to appear on the half time show. They gifted one kid a PS5 and then off-screen they took it from him and gave him a jersey instead. It was apparently meant to be a skit by the organization.

Crushed the kid. What a bunch of *****.

They copped backlash for it and now they're back-pedaling and giving the kid the PS5 they took from him and giving him a VIP experience at a future game.

wembanyama evolving into a monster only year 2 but shaq level generational talent

He doesn't mind a flop though.

In terms of Aussies:
Daniels - A smokey for all star selection - leads the league in steals
Exum - Injured and who knows when available
Ingles - Injured and had dropped down the Wolves pecking order anyway
Mills - Not getting any game time after the first few weeks in the worst team in the league - his time in the NBA is likely up
Ducas - Injured at the wrong time and can't get back in to one of the best teams in the league in OKC
Simmons - He's looking good, still won't attempt a three to save himself but showing strong glimpses of what he used to be
Travers - Playing G league and getting games every now and then for the high flying Cavs, he is REALLY impressing at the next level down
Furphy - Has looked good in spurts and is being managed really well by his coach in his first season, the talent is clear for all to see but he's very inconsistent
Green - I really don't know what to make of him, he's always been inconsistent, I really don't think he's a starter level player
Landale - Getting some minutes for Houston who are flying but has a Kiwi in the way as back up centre, I think he is a strong candidate to be traded
McVeigh - Not getting games
Thybulle - Injured and a strong chance of being traded, has not played this season
Reath - Getting very limited minutes, also very strong chance to be traded as there are teams looking for a decent back up centre

Loved watching embiid get ejected lol 76ers should move him on not going to win with him

I've got to ask, have the Boomers backed in the wrong kid to build the team around?

Giddey is clearly a super talent but really inconsistent. Meanwhile, Daniels is getting better and better. Daniels is giving next superstar vibes. He is really developing into an offensive gun to match his amazing defense. He's scored over 20 points in three of his last four games. Whether this equates long term or not, obviously time will tell but he is looking amazing and...

It looks like his club coach might well become the next Boomers coach as well.

Pretty simple solution giddey at point and daniels at shooting guard and simmons left right out imo

I don’t think Simmons will ever play for Aus. I’m not even sure he’ll be playing bball by the time the next Olympics comes. Major injury and motivation issues.

I really hope Reath, Landale and Travers can find new teams too. No starting big men is an issue for Aus. Inglis and Mills gone will leave a hole in the rotation too. Exum and Thybulle are also constantly injured.

The other one to watch with excitement is Furphy. Extremely raw but amazing natural talent. Couple of young guys to watch in the draft over the next couple of years too, one very, very good centre coming through but there are no guarantees at that age they’ll come on.
