New Broncos jersey for Dragons match

I'm with the peeps who reckon the heritage should be our regular home and away!

This X 1000 000 0000 0000

What's wrong with navy in our away jerseys and one off jerseys though?

I'm in the navy camp.

I loved this jersey when it came out:

As others have stated blue has been part of our colours for years and years. Including our home jersey.

I probably could have found a better picture than that, but you get the point.

We won the 2006 premiership in white and navy FFS! Whether you guys like it or not, it's part of the Broncos history now.

The white hoops are what makes this jersey for me. That design is quintessential Broncos (although it should go around the back too).

are you SERIOUSLY going to say that because a SPONSORS logo on our jersey has blue in it that blue is one of our colours? :|

its not a colour on our home jersey, never has been and probably never will be.

can i ask - what are these 'white hoops' that youre talking about? eusa_think

ive got that away jersey btw icon_smile

Well there was a blue strip of piping on the jersey (as you can see in guppy's picture).

And yes, midnight blue was introduced as a club colour when the chess piece logo was introduced in 2000. But what does it matter? It's a tribute jersey for one of our great club men, and it actually does look good. As others have said, I'd love it to be our away jersey instead of the predominantly white with some navy blue jersey we use now.

I don't mind the white jersey. The blue is nice, but it can't be our away jersey as it's dark.

Unless we made the yellow heritage our home jersey, the we could have a dark away jersey.

That's what Jeb suggested. Jeb speaks truth. Jeb for Broncos CEO.

Sorry, but that was a silly question. As Coxy said, there is a blue stripe on the jersey. It was there for years. I'm surprised you didn't notice it.

The "white hoops" are the white stripes around the jersey.

a teeny tiny blue line that was there for what, 2 years?

2002-2006. 5 seasons. The blue was only taken off the home jersey in 2007.

Is there any reason you say it can't be our away jersey because it's to dark?
Does an away jersey need to be "light"?

That as an jersey would be complete win.

We wouldn't be allowed to wear it against the dogs or the Sharks I'm assuming. Hell, it might even be a problem for the Titans and even Melbourne.

I think what Fozz is saying is that an "alternate" jersey should contrast the "home" jersey. So given our home jersey is predominantly maroon (dark) it would therefore be too similar to this jersey (also dark).

But if we had a light coloured gold jersey (our heritage one) as the home one, then this other jersey would suitably contrast should we want to use it.

However, if we were to play Melbourne in Melbourne, or Parramatta at Parramatta, or Newcastle in Newcastle or Roosters in Sydney, we'd probably use the "home" gold jersey instead.

I doubt the Bulldogs or Sharks would be too much of a clash (lighter blue).

I never really liked the colour scheme but have grown accustomed to it. Have to say the navy one posted by guppy is impressive and too much yellows never a good thing so something to break it up a bit is welcome.
