New Coaching options

I have seen a number of posts from people wanting to get rid of Henjak. From my posts on that topic I have indicated my belief that he deserves some time to establish himself and get the squad that he wants. I am interested as to who people believe would be a better option (leaving aside WB returning). Even if Bellamy were available I would not want him at the Broncos. Similarly, I think Brian Smith has a history of tearing clubs down, I am not a great fan of Ricky Stuart (still don't know if he has it as a coach). Neil Henry would have been an option but he is signed. Rookies like Michael McGuire or Steven Kearney are as inexperienced as Henjak and do not know the players or the culture. So who would be a better option?

Also, who would you recommend for roles as defensive coach and forwards coach?

I think Henjak needs at least another 2-3 years before we start calling for his head. He took over from a team that was falling apart and losing all their star players, and it showed. but he got them on the ball in the end and we almost got to the grand final in his first year.

this year the team is even younger, and has had a horrible injury toll from before the season even began. lets see how we go with our full strength (or near enough) team all playing together for a few weeks in succession, and when 90% of our team isnt under the age of 21.

Defensive Coach? Peter Ryan, TC, or try and get Jason Hetherington.

Forwards Coach? I dont think we want a former player. we need someone that wont just try and teach people his style of play. We need someone that can teach our forwards how to carry the ball with as little chance of it being dislodged as possible, how to offload, and how to get good play the balls.

I think Henjak should remain as coach ... people need to remember Bennett only made the finals once in about his first 4 years as coach... and he had a far superior team to that of Henjak.

in regards to the other questions:

Forwards coach - IMHO, we need to do what it takes to bring Webcke back as our forwards coach.

Defensive Coach - Personally, i think we should do whatever it takes to bring Trevor Gillmiester in as our defensive coach. I think he is the best defensive coach in the NRL and he is also a former Bronco

Henjak needs time, also he needs his key players to stay on the field for long periods not sitting on the side lines injuried. No coach could have done any better with the troops we have available. Still I would like to see an improvement in retention and attraction of a few quality players into our ranks.

Defensive coach? Gilly is a good choice. Look at some of the other clubs that have exellent defensive stats, such as Storm, even Sharks and Dragons, see whos involved there and offer them a job. We must improve our one on one defensive, unlike the stuff that was taught to the boys under "Peter the sieve Ryan".

Forwards coach - Tough call, because a good player doesn't always make a good coach. Webcke, yes, not sure what other options are available...

And his put Gillett in the middle before Michaels this year....Dropped Norman because he thinks Hoffman is the better option.. Suspended Teo/Winter even thou we needed them just to prove to the players s**t will not be taken.
