NZ made very poor shot selections. Tried to fetch the ball too many times and played very loose shots.
If we bat patiently (theres still four days to go), we should be able to build a decent lead and really put pressure on them in the second innings.
And Bird bowled pies. I would have taken a punt with an unfit Pattinson rather than the pie thrower.

Talk of green pitches and swing aren't true- the talk should be about full bowling and bad judgement.

That was 'Gabbaish. Hard to bat early and then getting better; by this afternoon they were batting with full confidence.

Great recovery led by Smith / Khawaja / Voges .. good signs when you can dig yourself out of a hole when the going is tough..

Although Khawaja's spot in the team could be in jeopardy for selfishly exposing Mitch Marsh to the second new ball ;-)
