Nines / Trial Games

Half of me is calm, thinking it’s just a trial game and the boys look disinterested and are playing at 80% cruising to avoid injury.

The other half of me is painfully aware that this is how we always look against teams that play fast, direct footy spreading the ball with good support play.

Why the **** do we persist with a defence that lets them run 10 - 15 metres before our defensive "line"? Absolute rubbish

Carrigan was good for 10 minutes, and not talking.
Croft is energetic and talking a lot. He should be captaining.

Just heard on the refs microphone that Staggs and Croft haven't been back far enough in defence, or leaving early. "But we've been getting a lot of metres, so it's alright". So they're deliberately bringing the line back more than 10 metres?
Heard that too. What a load of horseshit

Arrow just put in a shoulder charge and no penalty

It's an easy gameplan to copy as well. Parramatta has belted us with it many times.

When was the last time we had the ball in their half?

Reminder of what Seibold said in his last interview. This is the kind of corporate gibberish that results in what we're seeing:

“One thing we are working hard on is building greater connections and building cohesion within our group. The squad is in a really good place at the moment, everyone is working hard, I find peace of mind putting changes in place and implementing a really well-planned pre-season.”
