Sombre way to kick off this thread but Rugby League legend Brian Davies passed away today aged 82.

A member of the Queensland team of the century and a former Test captain & coach, Davies first grade career spanned 17 seasons where he predominately played for his beloved club, Brothers. A genuine athlete who also found junior success in swimming and at cricket, Davies cut an imposing figure on the Rugby League field where he'd spend either up front or in the backrow.

RIP Brian.

Not much of a suprise Hayne is leading the all stars voting, there is no-one else in the Parra backline to pick.

With just over one week of preliminary voting left in the All Stars, centre Jack Reed is again the most popular Bronco with Ben Hannant, Corey Parker and Peter Wallace also prominent.

Thaiday is also set to miss out which for my money is good to see.

Poor guy, ever since the DT started singing his praises he's had nothing but bad luck.

All star game is About 10 weeks away

Looks like NRL SummerTime will be covering the Broncos with the episode set to air on the 20th of December.

Not really the most interesting show but any League at this time of year is worth it's weight in gold.
