Alec - The injury to Reed explains a lot, given Hoffman, Yow Yeh & Hodges are ineligible it was basically between them and Copley.

Flanagan has announced Michael Gordon is going to play fullback next year. Based on that the Sharks back line next year should shape up like this.

1. Gordon
2. Gardner
3. Ryan
4. Pomeroy
5. Wright
6. Carney
7. Robson

Swap Ryan and wright and that will be their line up

I'd pick Stapleton before Wright, but I guess it's not a huge difference either way.

Yep, plenty of options for the Sharks. I'd consider throwing Matt Wright and Stewart Mills in the mix. I really rate Mills as a prospect, I remember him making a strong debut against the Chooks in 2011 where he displayed everything you'd want to see from a winger. Injuries haven't been kind unfortunately, but I see him as potentially being their best back.

I thought Matt had a reasonable 2012. Covered the fullback position reasonably well and showed some good signs. Don't think he'll be anything more than a solid player, but I'd take that over a Jono Wright or Stapleton anyday.

Jamal Idris is eyeing a return to top form and his hoping he returns to rep footy next year. All talk, he says this every year how well he is going to perform but it never happens. He has little chance of making any rep squad. Fat, lazy, overrated and gutless.

Wholeheartedly agree bman except for you calling him gutless... I have seen his gut, he is definitely 'with gut'

I've had a gut full of you two arguing!

Mark Gasnier wants to get rid of the third man in tackle. What bullsh!t the shoulder charge is now gone and now this tripe. Might as well put skirts on the players now.

Good, 'prowler' tackles are just cowardly and not in any shape or form what the game should be about.

Limiting players in tackles is a great idea, will teach players to tackle properly again and will speed the game up. Just wish they would limit the interchanges back to 4-6.

Who was the Roosters player of the year last year?

Jared Warea-Hargreaves

I'm expecting Tony Williams to have a big year for the dogs next year. He always looks fit but he needs someone to keep his mind on the job and Dessie is the man for that.
