QLD's Premier has just announced the border will open by December 17, 2021 with no quarantine requirements between states. This means the NRL competition should be able to proceed as before the pandemic, subject to local outbreaks. If NZ follows suit, the Warriors should also be able to return to NZ and host home games.

Despite vaccination, this remains a highly contagious illness, and many players will get sick. It will spread rapidly through the close contact of the competition and they'll need down time, and be below their best for several weeks post illness. So while business might return to normal, we can expect it to be impacted heavily by illness. We'll be seeing all our thirty fairly quickly, that's for sure.

Because these players are young, vaccinated and at peak physical condition it's unlikely many, if any, will wind up in hospital. But it's still a possibility given the sheer numbers involved.

And if you haven't already got vaccinated yourself because of stuff you've read that's put you off, now's the time to get over your fears and get it done.

Do people have to be vaccinated to be allowed in?

Can we just lock out southern scum permanently? Not because of COVID or anything, just because they suck.
Mate, I'd be happy to move the border north to the Brisbane river with gun turrets on the Story Bridge, except it would gut the QLD origin team. But annexing the NT, Bali and Singapore under the QLD flag is still on.

Our first game is (no surprises) a Friday night round 1 clash against the Rabbitohs.

Should be a cracker.

Potentially very winnable:

- Reynolds deep knowledge of Souths game
- Big loss of Rabbitoh personnel (Reynolds, Gagai, Marshall, Sua, etc).
- Post-Wayneitis

Rothfield's article on this had some lol moments in it.

firstly, he claimed that Reynolds contract with us was 4 years ... when it is only 3

then he said this:

Anything less than a convincing victory will be disappointing for Souths fans, despite the fact they’ve lost so much experience in Reynolds, Jaydn Su’A and Dane Gagai – plus coaching legend Wayne Bennett.

Did NSWRL just forget that fact when coming up with the 'draw'??

TLT for round 1 2022:
"Souths
1. Taafe"

NSWRL HQ:
"Wait... where the **** is Latrell??? Did he get shipped off to Tigers at some point"
"Nope not there"
"WHERE THE **** IS HE?"
"Looks like he's suspended"
"****... since when??
"2021"
"Is it a no fault stand down that we can over turn??"
"No..."

Next minute:

“Latrell Mitchell will be available for round 1 as he would have been chosen for Australia if the World Cup was held. (Nailed it)”

Anyone know when next seasons draw is coming out?
I heard maybe this week but nothing confirmed.
