CROSS FORUM NRL 2022 Round 11 Discussion

I thought it was for an incorrect PTB, ie, not using or attempting to use the foot. Just plants the ball and hops over it.
Nah incorrect ptb is just an error / turnover... Edwards was penalised for not playing it straight

I mean it's nice to see Melbourne lose. But it's gross to see NQ win. :vom:

It was worth it to see the vision of the Storm coaching box and the looks on Craig Bellamy`s face .
He didn`t even look angry after a while . :rofl

I would expect to see new rule interpretations next week, any time the Roosters and Storm have been affected by enforcement of rules the same as everyone else and then get bought back to the pack, you can expect a change incoming.
I feel like JWH summed it up best...
"you penalise me every fucking time"

A couple of years ago I really would have reveled in it. But now all the salary cap cheat players are gone. They are still a scum club for sure. But there are bigger enemies for us now in North Queensland, Gold Coast and soon to be Redcliffe IMO.

I was thinking cobbo should be brought into the origin series either later in it or through the squad then year... but ffs, if Coates gets picked ahead of him this year there probably needs to be a fucking investigation...

Also, I know he won't now bcos he's injured but I don't care if feldt is in dally m winning form for 3 years straight, does everyone forget how shit he was in origin? He shouldn't even be talked about...

"The Storm are horrible without half their spine"

"Wow, the Storm are finally getting reffed like every other team has been"

"The Cowboys have had such a soft draw and have hardly had to leave Queensland, they are very lucky"

Todd Payten, I have to give the bloke some credit here. I had him as dead man walking towards the end of last year. Was certain he'd be sacked. The turnaround in this Cowboys team is astonishing. Credit to their savvy recruitment as well.

Particularly impressed by Reece Robson, who I'd never really paid much attention to until recently. He's a clear step above what we've come to accept at dummy half. We're not done at 9 yet.

We meet the Cowboys again July 2 in Townsville. Coach of the Year to be decided right there.

Yep credit to Payten, at the end of last year they were an absolute rabble, Manly put a huge score on them. And as you say, credit to their recruiting too.
Interesting that Sharks Cows and Broncos brought in new halfbacks - heavily criticised in some cases - and are the big improvers.

There will be a new interpretation of the ruck rule for the Storm next week as they play the Eagles who are lucky to get one 6 again a game.

Yep credit where it’s due, Payten has done an outstanding job. They are comfortably playing like a top 2 team right now.

We also learnt the Storm are vulnerable, and their depth isn't unlimited. Munster look flustered and ordinary last night - against Tom Dearden.

Papenhuyzen is due back in round 15. That's against us. Shutting him down might be the key.

Outside chance we might avoid facing this pair on July 2, not that it helped the Storm:

They’ll all be back just in time to play us - that’s just the way we roll…
