This is it, they’re screaming Melbourne, Penrith atm. It’s only possible if it’s allowed though. The Cowboys defensive textbook:
1. Run off line as a unit before ball played
2. Lay on top or hold onto ball for eternity in defensive 20 metres

The difference for me is that Marsters refused to get up until he was penalised and then he gave Farnworth a full blown shove right as the Broncos were pressing the attack, it was an obvious penalty. The comparison to Marsters was more about both situations not giving the ref an option to let it go.
For Marsters the ref wouldn't have wanted to bin him straight after sending someone else to the bin only 1 min earlier... but he completely took the piss and forced his hand.
For Wallace the ref wouldn't have wanted to give a six again on last tackle... otherwise he could've penalised him for the initial slowing down... but when everything is all settled down and ready to go, Wallace gives him another shove. It was unnecessary and right in front of the ref after he may have already given him leeway.
Wallace had also got his arm stuck right under the posts near the start of the game, so potentially the ref had had enough of his 'arm getting stuck' and slowing things down.
Only watched half tbh. Decided playing some CoD was going to be better for my mental health. Cowboys defence is painful to watch though. Legit lying all over or putting their knees in the vicinity of the play the ball every tackle.Has anyone done a welfare check on T The Don ?
Again I'm not comparing the similarity of the penalties... I'm comparing the context and magnitude of the call (second sin binning and 5th tackle penalty) and it basically being taken out of the refs hands by stupidity of the player. The difference for me is that Marsters refused to get up until he was penalised and then he gave Farnworth a full blown shove right as the Broncos were pressing the attack, it was an obvious penalty.
Meanwhile Wallace delayed the play by at most two seconds and it was just going to be a kick and chase.
That's my issue though, while it was dumb from Wallace, what effect did it really have? It was such a nothing doing situation and play was going forward unlike the Marsters situation where the referee had to get involved otherwise Marsters would have ordered an ubereats and stayed there all night if he could.Again I'm not comparing the similarity of the penalties... To me as soon as I saw the Wallace one I thought "you idiot, 5th tackle penalty, hook the moron"... so I felt it was a pretty blatant penalty
Honestly I don't care... my original comment was about the stupidity of the titans players. That's my issue though, while it was dumb from Wallace, what effect did it really have? Bit of hype preseason around Liu but he has been very forgettable. Our signings lately... Liu, Marsters and Isaako. Possibly the three players in the team I dislike the most. T Boyd up there though.
