Why do onfield refs award suspect tries, is reviewed by the broadcaster, and then goes to the bunker?

Shouldnt the ref send suspect tries to the bunker in the first place? Its all so strange.

Seems like they're taking a similar approach to how they utilise VAR in European football.

Basically if it's not absolutely obvious that someone is offside or a ball has gone out, etc they allow play to continue and if a goal is scored, it's reviewed. If it doesn't develop into a goalscoring opportunity, they pull it back.

The Sharks have really impressed me - nothing overly flashy, just completely in control.

Nico Hynes has surprised me

I really didn’t rate him and expected him to flop

But his timing and distribution has been on point. Makes the backline look very smooth and fluid. Also has a massive boot on him.

Makes it look so easy…..

Dragons vs Sharks tonight
Normally you would think Sharks easily but for eons the Red V have been devastating conquering all before them in the first 5 rounds of every season so I would say a sneaky bet on St George would be well advised.

That aged well... only cause I seen the result, last few seasons you'd be on the money mate

What has impressed me so much is how he plays with so much time! I mean he moves so well has a nice pass and can read what the defence is doing. I'll eat my words, I did not think he would shine outside that Storm System.
