I'm seeing a fair few complaints about the Farnworth penalty try being bullshit.

How? Grant pushes him in the back, which you can't do. Herbie has no one in front of him and is trying to grubber the ball into the in-goal, very high chance he scores if Grant doesn't do what he did.

Penalty try every day of the week.

He was also tackled beforehand without the ball, so it was multiple infringements in one play. Would have preferred a binning.

He’s coaching the girls. He won’t be able to do both, and I don’t know if he would want to go to the men’s yet, especially after he’s had to rebuild the girls squad almost entirely and had to sell all his players on him being there

Yep, instigated by the marker - if he's shown any interest in breaking away to chase Paix then it would have been a penalty. But he only has eyes for Flegler.

No way they would have given it if it decided the game.

As a fan the call annoys me because you get these casual fans who only saw the highlights and missed how inconsistently the game was refereed. Couldn't buy a penalty until Munster gives a deliberate one away with less than 10 to go in that second half.

That was such a poor play from the Eels. Gutherson does well to trap Fogarty's kick, gets them motoring down field and they have all the momentum. The ball finds Arthurs and nobody is pushing up. Next play they decide to play off the back of Paulo who lumbers up, passes to nobody and it's over.

The Eels insistence that Paulo has to be a key playmaker does my head in. Player in the bin, you've created good ball and you're taking settlers to work it for a prop forward.

Good play from Matto, saw the fullback was stuck on the right so aims it back off the post. Kris does well to chase but the ricochet beats him and Hopgood is there.

It saved what had been a pretty ordinary set.
