Very interesting, no sin bin on Simonsen straight away, Atkin's received notification from the bunker and it was a penalty rather than a sin bin.

I’m happy with it, he didn’t land on the legs it was just an awkward tackle.
mid they go back to the original hip drop ruling I’ll be glad.

There’s way worse examples than Carrigan lol. Carrigans was lazy and penalty only. That there wasn’t event that.

There’s way worse examples than Carrigan lol. Carrigans was lazy and penalty only. That there wasn’t event that.

Yet they only came to their senses seemingly after the Carrigan incident.

It wasn't a penalty either. Watch Annesley's debrief and focus on the part about trapping the lower body with your full body weight. Now watch Carrigan's and tell me where his hip ends up. It was never a penalty, it was a stitch up.

He may be the only player in the history of the NRL to be made the example of in both the beginning and ending of a crackdown.

Me and the NRL if they have indeed scrapped the auto sin bin for anything & everything resembling a hip drop tackle.. View attachment 22236

If the NRL:
1. Got rid of Vlandys and Abdo
2. Got rid of six agains
3. Got rid of these ridiculous crackdowns
4. Got rid of Annersley
5. Made the bunker rule ONLY on tries and captain's challenges and all their communications with refs must be made open to all
6. Completely overhauled the MRC with people trained unconnected to any league team, even league itself
7. Stopped rewarding diving
8. Actually refereed fairly
9. Got rid of gambling connections
10. Rewarded clubs who develop talent far more


Then I would likely be back on good terms with this sport
