think the tigers are specials this week

I'd say the biggest news is the return of RCG. It's timely because the Blues front row stocks were beginning to look extremely dicey. So much so, they had to roll the dice on TPJ and it ended up as snake eyes. I still think they'd love to have a Trbojevic style forward but their stocks are really low in that department.

Still, it's crazy to me that TPJ was considered over Klemmer and nobody batted an eyelid. I remember around the time of his debut saying he'd go down with Lazarus, Harragon, Roach as one of the Blues greatest ever front row forwards - then Freddy came along and fixed that up.

This is shaping up to be one of the tougher rounds for punters. There's a lot of even games and even the Broncos/Knights is one of those games where I'd say the intangibles are in the Knights favour. Team coming off the bye, full squad, they're a better team than their record and if they get through unscathed they have the game to trouble the Broncos. You'd still go Broncos, but you wouldn't be shocked if the Knights made a game of it.

so the Bulldogs have named Reed Mahoney despite him being subject to the mandatory 11 day stand-down period.

Mahoney was taken from the field for a Category 2 HIA, but subsequently diagnosed with concussion which is why he is subject to the 11 day stand down.

the Bulldogs will reportedly apply to the NRL for an exemption to allow him to play

If Nicho has a big game this week and Sharks beat Storm, you would have to say he's locked in for the 7 jersey for NSW.

Going up against two of QLD's most potent weapons in Munster and Grant, along with Welch who is likely to replace Arrow, if he shines I don't think Fittler ignores that.

And if this happens Reynolds isn’t picked and the Storm lose, this would be the most perfect out come ever.

He has to pick Hynes or face the backlash of picking him in the first place. If he wasn't there to replace Cleary or Luai then why was he picked?

The dunce has already shown his incompetence time and time again though, so it wouldn't surprise me. Playing left side players on the right while playing right side players on the left for seemingly no reason. Apparently, he also could have activated his 18th man when Tommy T came off and thrown Burton on, a guy who's played a good amount of centre, instead of Hynes. I remember thinking at the time it was odd that he didn't, that maybe the criteria hadn't been met or something. Nope, the space cadet could have activated Burton but went with an out of position Hynes instead. Bless him for it.

Ah, Freddy. Always thinking two moves behind.

To be honest I've thought of Hynes as more over a runner, so a #6 (though he can do the job of a 7). So he would definitely be first pick shoud Luai have gone down or shat the bed.

Well the NRL just opened up a can of worms with allowing Turbo to play this weekend so its not surprising the Dogs would have a crack at it aswell

They were already doing it before the Turbo decision was made.

Mahoney was a Cat 2. Cat 2's are allowed to appeal if they meet certain criteria. The Broncos have done the same.

Interesting that Titans are going to continue with Campbell at 6, it just doesn't work imo he looks completely lost in that position.

And they re signed him earlier this year when they dont have a proper place in the team for him. The titans really are a complete mess with how they allocate their cap

Dylan Brown Stood down by the NRL, Parra are in trouble now.

Given how slow the court process is, unless it ends in a settlement this going to cost Brown several years of his career.

I think if he is found guilty it probably wouldn't be a large sentence given the charge of what is alleged, not sure how the NRL would deal with his return if that is the case.
