Will this be like the storm vs sharks game a few years ago... where there was like 30 penalties and CS9 getting binned... but then Buzz complained and NSWRL folded to change the rule and let wrestling take control again.

I believe it was a Wests Tigers winger, Fitzhenry? Regardless, I remember it because it saved Queensland in the 2006 decider. NSW drove Wesser back into the in-goal and he lost the ball. Sterlo immediately referenced the change in rule change.

Just watched the Origin clip again - Fitzhenry broke his collarbone against the Warriors in Round 11.

Legend, I knew it was Wests but couldn't remember the specifics.

I'm all for the rule change, once a guy is being carried back they have no way to protect themselves, especially if they've been lifted.

In fairness, it was good acting, got the desired result. The reality is, in this pathetic Vlandys' era, you just can't do what Olam did, force or no force. As soon as a player stays down, they get a penalty.

Not sure about ref losing control... he literally just warned them and then idiot comes through and hits him late.

He would've lost control if he didn't send him to the bin on that one... he even called Harry over and stared straight into his eyes as he sent him for 10... it was actually pretty stone cold from the ref on that one

Hard out. The game looked like it was finally going to address the dark arts of the Storm finally, but then the golden boy didn't get his way and it reverted back.

That was the year the Warriors started really well, but the way we were defending got nullified by the midseason change. After the change the "cream" rose to the top again.

Inconsistency is the name of this stupid league. Look at this game just before half time alone.

Tturbo gets a shoulder to the head, clearly and he goes off for a HIA, nothing happens to the guy who did it. Fast forward literally one or two minutes and Manly gets a player sent to the bin for exactly the same thing.
