Let's sign Woods, Tedesco & Foran on for next season. If the Cowboys and Storm can buy premierships, so can we.

Doesn't every team buy a premiership anyway?

Two of those players aren't going to win us a premiership..

Is the NRL fucking serious? They don't have the guts to punish the blatantly obvious cap-less cheating Cowcheats?

So.. no salary cap next year to prevent the NRL's golden boy's image from being tarnished. **** off.

That's some disgusting double standards right there club-wise. I would be furious if I were a Storm or Eels fan right now.

We really did get fucked over deluxe in 2015. Well I am just going to assume a bunch of fuckwit NRL protected cheats won in 2015 and that the mighty * won yet again. No wonder they won so many games that year via disgraceful refereeing. It wasn't as bad last year, but this year, fmd, NRL want them to win again.

* - 2015 premiers. Well done *****.

I know I've already posted this link before, but don't forget this howler back in 2015 they got away with: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-07-...ys-players-property-deals-above-board/6654168

There was precedent with the Storm players. Actually, there was precedent with the Bulldogs players of 2002. So long as there are big stars in the cross-hairs, the NRL will do **** all to punish the players themselves.

* In 2002, the players were allowed to re-negotiate contracts in order to fit under the cap. Most did, but Steve Price famously signed for the Warriors, vindicating that had the Dogs not cheated the cap, then they would not have been able to sustain their roster. But with price leaving, it meant others didn't have to sign for substantially less than their current contracts, so little impact to the players overall (many big names in there too).

* In 2010, the Storm players could not re-negotiate, meaning the lesser players were all told to look elsewhere and the superstars were able to stay together. Again, minimal impact to the star players.

In both of these cases, the cheating occurred purely as paperwork. Though highly doubtful, it is possible the players knew nothing about the cheating and just signed whatever was put in their faces. For the Cowboys, however, should they have been found guilty of cheating via property deals, it would be much, much harder to argue that the players had zero knowledge. Yes, I'm sure that each players' managers do a lot more for them than organise their playing contract. You'd think a lot of them would also point them in the right direction for financial advice, investing, basically help a bunch of boofheads to not piss away their substantial earnings. But property deals? And through the same developer as 10 of your team-mates?

No, not on their own - but Woods whilst not being a super duper front rower can certainly eat the meters we need to help out our current forward stocks continue to be stinging in defence and might even free up our edge back rowers to get back to running solid lines off our halves.

Foran would be excellent foil for Milford and will help to direct the forwards while adding some starch to our kicking game - at the very least he would be able to find touch on the odd occasion. Put him beside Boyd and all of a sudden our passing game goes up a level as well.

We don't need Tedesco but wouldn't it be a nice up yours to the rest of the league, put him in as a roving centre or winger. Muwahaha.

Ivan Cleary will be announced as head coach of West Tigers at 4 o'clock
It is understood Cleary will coach for the rest of this season and then a further three years until the end of the 2020 season.

Live stream about to start where the Tigers will announce Cleary as the new head coach.

It's good to see him back coaching in the NRL, even if it is at a toxic environment such as that club.

I don't think Tigers will make the finals, but he could get them playing better than what they are now. And given a full pre-season and full control of the team, we could see him turn them around a bit. Hopefully.

Cleary should have stayed away from the Tigers club. Its a basket case to say the least.

Woods would be a completely different player with other forwards who do anything around him. He wouldn't get to touch the ball as much and wouldn't need to make 20 ineffective hit ups a game. Could say the same for Tedesco but he's just a different player every week. Nobody knows which version will show up. Could it be the version that runs sideways and only scores off broken field play or could it be the one that runs sideways?

Still trying to figure out how the media came up with the moniker "the big 4"??

The same people who linked the Turnstile Two to the Broncos and are talking them up as elite halves in order to manufacture their worth to be close to a million dollars each.

That is the most apt description of Tedesco I've ever read.

Hasler signs 2 year extension with the dogs ... so much for his job being under threat ... lol

Apparently Burgess was fine to continue playing in the second half against the Roosters but a blunder stopped him from playing.

He isn't used to playing on a Thursday night so when the doctor asked what day it is, he said Friday because he is used to playing on a Friday..

Because of that, he couldn't continue playing despite being completely fine to continue.

Haha for real?

This is excellent.

LOL, that's too funny.

It could be hard to distinguish between concussion and just dumbness with quite a few players out there...
