So Joey Johns just described Dugan as a "once in a generation" player. How many "once in a generation" players are in the NRL right now?

What a stupid call. He isnt that great either at center or full back. Dugan is as bad bigging himself up as a world class player. I'm still not exactly sure how a couple of gronks like him and Ferguson are Australian incumbents tbh.

Here is footage of the incident Asoava is at marker before he comes across and dives at the other guys legs.

What the heck was he thinking? It seems like this guy is a danger to society.

Raelene Castle steps down from her role as Bulldogs CEO
David Riccio, The Daily Telegraph13 minutes ago

CANTERBURY’S Raelene Castle has stood down as chief executive of the club.

Considered as one of the most game’s most respected administrators, Castle has made the decision to resign, but will remain in the role until the end of the NRL season.

The New Zealand-born Castle was the first woman to run a club in 15 years when she was appointed to replace current NRL boss Todd Greenberg following his departure from the Dogs in 2013.

Castle was contracted to the Bulldogs until the end of 2018, having only re-signed a new two-year deal last season.

The club will commence an immediate search for a replacement, but want Castle to be part of the hand-over.

Speculation within the game has been rife that tension between Castle and chairman Ray Dib had increased in recent weeks over issues relating to an email complaint directed at Dib and a select group of chairmen for an apparent breach of salary cap negotiation protocols after they had met with the Rugby League Players Assoctiation.

The Bulldogs are expected to formally announce Castle’s departure via a press release today.

The Witch is gone from the bulldogs and boy are their fans rejoicing.

Oh nuts, the Dogs might become good again. It seems that she was almost Cullen level of administration, though that may be a little unfair, no one can be Cullen level bad.

The Australian Kangaroos will face Fiji and Papua New Guinea in an historic tri-contest in Suva ahead of the 2017 Rugby League World Cup.

The innovative format of the match will see all three teams face each other on October 14, at Suva’s ANZ Stadium.

Fiji will face PNG before Australia takes on both PNG and finally Fiji. All three match-ups will last 40 minutes.

It will be the Kangaroos' first match in Fiji.

"This is a wonderful initiative and will be an historic day for Fiji, who will be hosting not one but two nations," NRL head of football Brian Canavan said.

"Fiji will get to see some of the best players in the world.

"Clearly the other important aspect will be that each contest will provide a strong preparation for the 2017 Rugby League World Cup."

Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga said the contest would be a novel way to prepare for his team, as well as an important one.

"Not only will this contest be good for the Kangaroos' preparation for the World Cup, it will be wonderful for international rugby league," Meninga said.

"I love the concept of three teams playing on the same stage. It will be a great exhibition for our game."

Fiji Bati coach Mick Potter said: "It will be a great showpiece. It can only be a good thing for the game in Fiji for the locals to see the Australian team playing against two different nations, including their own.

"The people of Fiji will appreciate having all the names associated with this Kangaroos team at their stadium, as well as the best players in Fiji and PNG. To have that calibre of player on show will be phenomenal for the game."

PNG coach Michael Marum said: "It’s the first time this has ever happened so it will be a good experience for all of us.

"We’ll take a lot out of playing 40 minutes of football against each of those teams, and we’re looking forward to doing some community work alongside Fiji as they work to make rugby league even stronger over there."

so this happened in the Super League. Pretty brutal stuff.

Anyone know when the dates/times for games get released for Round 21 onwards?

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?

isn't it usually in stages after origin?

I remember it being release in round 17 or 19. But that's a very vague recollection, could be off.

June 24th last year (Round 16) according to the BHQ archive.

In 2015, it was June 30th (Round 17).

So we're only a few weeks away.

The Lebanon Rugby League Federation (LRLF) is delighted to announce the appointment of Brad Fittler as the new head coach of the Lebanon national team. The former Kangaroo captain and two-time WORLD CUP winner will take charge of the Cedars at this year’s Rugby League WORLD CUP. Fittler will take charge of national team’s operations effective immediately.

Fittler the man coaching Lebanon. Up up Lebanon, they'll take out the world cup. I have faith.

They're running a parallel special rugby league world cup?
