Manly are now back tracking on plans to wear their Pride Jersey in 2023. they are passing the buck to the NRL to host a "Pride Round"

the NRL have also blocked plans for Laurie Daley to join Manly as a consultant coach. saying it can't be permitted while he engages in other employment with a wagering operator. this is reportedly because his radio presenting job has ties to the betting industry.
So how does this correlate with the Storm players becoming virtual major shareholders of a betting company?

Here's a video of Vlandys (aka the CEO of Racing NSW which famously has no ties to betting companies) explaining

The Eels are trying to get Matterson's 3 match ban overturned claiming the deadline to accept the ban/fine was unfair. they requested an extension and were given an extra 2 hours. The Eels reportedly believe that Matterson would have made a different decision if given more time (that despite the fact that he came out in the media for days after it, defending his decision)

Matterson is now prepared to pay the fine instead of serving the suspension.

the NRL are reportedly unlikely to allow it.

NSWRL golden team.... consider it approved. In fact for the hardship caused we'll reduce the fine to $300 and Parra can pay that on behalf of NSW origin star Matto if they want.

Actually we'll just send that bill to Laurie Daley to pay because he didnt so shit as the blues coach so he owes us

The decision to take the suspension over the fine didn't make much sense to begin with.. Now it looks like he's finally realized that.

The deadline is the same as every other deadline throughout the year.

Hopefully the NRL tell him tough shit. You made your choice.

Be bold, be Seibold.

That aged like shit didn’t it?
Akshually, Sei literally translates to the imperative command "Be" in German, so Sei Bold would already mean "Be Bold" in some form of Denglish. But the name really means Courageous Victory from (Sigi(Sieg) + Bald)

Pretty sure everybody already knew that.

Dragons old boys trying to one up the Broncos old boys for controversy. Amateurs.

Former Wallaby Berrick Barnes has returned to rugby league, signing on with the Knights as a coaching consultant.

Barnes played nine NRL games for the Broncos in 2005 before switching to rugby union and going on to have a hugely successful career which included representing Australia 51 times.

I remember Uncle Wayne saying he thought he would return to the Broncos one day .
