Yeah good, an improvement on Woods if I'm being honest

Josh Reynolds to Tigers on a 4 year deal reportedly worth 950k a season and includes a car.

FMD, now Milford can ask for 1.5 Mil if that hack can get almost a mil a year...

the Tigers haven't learnt much from their cap issues when they had Moses and Brooks on massive overs

Matulino was good a couple of years ago but has stagnated, hopefully the move gets him going.

lol @ the reynolds deal though, crazy money for a tenacious tripper.

Reynolds for 950k/ season is crazy, out of this world lunacy.

Bulldogs losing all their grubs. First Ennis now Reynolds. There's only Kasiano and to a lesser extent Klemmer left.

Matulino was in the top 10 props a few years ago when it was him and Bromwich starting for the Kiwis. He's been pretty ordinary since about mid 2015, if memory serves he's been playing from the bench just as often as he has been starting for the Warriors.

And Reynolds, ****. I read elsewhere the Bulldogs offered him $500k a year for 3 years, and the Tigers offered him $750k a year for 4 years. So I don't know where the $950k is now coming from, unless it's a new Lambo every two years. He is only worth as much as his halves partner, as that's his only strength - being a tenacious little grub that allows his halves partner more freedom. A player like Brooks will probably benefit from Reynolds more than Moses, but that's not saying much as the Moses and Brooks partnership was worse than the sum of their parts.

it is probably a bit like the Bird signing with us ... the offer was 700k a year right up until the minute he signed, then all of a sudden it became $1 million a year (1 journo started that and the others all just changed their figures to match his biased opinion)

I think these are both great improvements for the Tigers. Matulino, if he fires, is twice the player Woods is. As polarising as Reynolds is, he is extremely competitive and passionate, something the tigers culture has had none of for years. He will do great to fire them up, and I suspect Brooks has a bit of grub in him waiting to come out. He and reynolds could be a nightmare to play against.

McQueen is an okay signing for his experience and professionalism but he comes a little overpriced I think.

Tedesco is their only real loss but clearing out all the egos is probably better for the club long term. They should try and snag Loloahea, Dugan, or Latrell Mitchell to replace him.

Elijah Taylor should be given the captaincy. The kid has Tate level tenacity. He came over from the Warriors as a journey man and showed more pride in the club than their life long juniors and captain.

The 950k figure is coming from Fox Sports.

They may also be able to snag Alex Johnston from the Rabbitohs ... he is off contract and is looking to play fullback permanently.

In fact it has been reported that his negotiations will center around the ability to play fullback

He would be a good stop gap for them during the rebuilding phase but I don't rate him as permanent fullback.

A spine of McIlwick, Brooks, JReynolds, Johnston wouldn't feel you with a heap of confidence as a Tigers fan. I think they need ether someone very predictable and safe like Dugan, or an X-factor that can create like Loloeha.

Johnston is like a smaller less effective Dugan type.

From what I saw on the weekend, I'd say that Mautalino is currently better than Woods. Reynolds, although filth, will be better for the tigs than Moses, who has a higher ceiling, but is a massive princess in the Moylan mold.

Reynolds is actually what the Tigers need. They need someone who is ultra competitive (they haven't got any players like that in their side at the moment) and he will push them. Tigers need to sign a hooker now. I would be throwing the bank at someone like Peats who is off contract this year

I haven't seen the 950k season at all. Every news outlet I have seen has said 3mill over 4 years. No chance Cleary was going to pay that for Reynolds. 750k is more realistic. Probably slight overs at that peice considering the cap increasing. Gives them some tenacity

950k buys a lot of trips
He won't get the slaps on the wrist that he was getting once he leaves the Dogs though.

With the exception of origin time
