Well, that sucks.

He would have been crazy not to take such a huge contract.

If Taylor is worth a million milf is an absolute steal at the same price

Let's be honest, he's anywhere from a $500k - $750k player, the latter would be if he plays to his potential. At least with this outcome we've forced the equivalent of the Titans playing with $250k - $500k less of a salary cap just with this one player. Weakening our opposition is a good thing.

No loss for mine. Tell Milford he's the on field kicker from now on, and we have already sorted the one thing Ash would bring to the team. Good luck at the joke club mate.

I'm happy for Taylor. Should capitalise on every dollar he can. The game is a job for these guys.

Yep, a job that can end very quickly. Poor Yow Yeh knows this, well and truly.
Poor Yow Yeh still has a job. The Titans might not even be around for the duration of Taylor's contract.

Lol they now have both Hayne and Taylor on 1M+ each.

What's a salary cap?

We'll have Milford & Boyd $1m+ if the figures are to be believed, and Jack Bird not far away. It's pretty common for teams to have 2 guys around that $1m price these days.

we're not far off that ourselves

next season we are likely to have:

Milford: $1M
Boyd: 900k
Bird: 750k

not to mention the likes of Gillett and McGuire who would have go significant upgrades themselves

Add in a few of our juniors they paid three times what we offered them and it gets even more confusing.

Yeah but the NRL is bringing an off field cap in to stop clubs looking after their ex players, hiring physios, etc, AKA they want all clubs to be pathetically run as the bottom feeders.

No really when you look at their roster. Not to mention that Hayne is a good chance to be gone by the time Taylor's million dollar kicks in for 2019. Then you add in the 2 million salary cap increase from next season

Now the claim that the Roosters are 650k under the cap and can afford Cronk ... that's confusing

Is it not a 3.2m extension meaning 19 onwards?

Hayne wont be at the titans in 19', no way they pay him close to that money and he'll **** off to new york or france or something.

Cronk --> Roosters
Pearce --> Sea Eagles
Green --> Warriors

This sounds like it's about 90% likely at the moment. I'd love to know where the Warriors are pulling this salary cap from, it feels like they replace everyone who leaves with someone just as good, if not better.

That Sea Eagles team would become very interesting, a halves pairing of Pearce & Cherry-Evans would be deadly at club level, they're 2 of the best halves at club level in the game (Not very good at rep level though, for whatever reason..)

You'd also expect a moderate improvement from their young guns, both Trbojevic's, Walker, Koroisau, etc.

1. Tom Trbojevic
2. Jorge Taufua
3. Matthew Wright
4. Dylan Walker
5. Akuila Uate
6. Mitchell Pearce
7. Daly Cherry-Evans
8. Darcy Lussick
9. Apisai Koroisau
10. Martin Taupau
11. Frank Winterstein
12. Curtis Sironen
13. Jake Trbojevic

14. Jackson Hastings
15. Lewis Brown
16. Addin Fonua-Blake
17. Lloyd Perrett

Don't be so sure. Brennan is a Hayne fan.

He has also brought in people that have a great relationship with Hayne and have been allowed in his inner circle. People that have been able to get the best out of Hayne.

Titans want him and they will be pay him the big money if he can turn his form around.

I just don't see it happening and I don't see Hayne playing for anything less than he's been on previously.

I actually don't see DCE and Pearce as that threatening of a pairing. I think both are great at club level but they both play a similar role. I can see them stepping on each other's toes.
