Roberts showed potential outside of a competant half like Kimmorley - given the Storm are tossing up between a couple of rookies, he's worth a cheap pick-up.
I'm not sure if the article states this, but Romelo was already with Easts so the signing just goes hand in hand with that deal.

Doubt Ben Roberts will see any real action outside of injuries or rep period, Cody Walker was outstanding last season in the Queensland Cup, a player I wanted the Broncos to chase for, if Bellamy can get the best out of Walker he will be an outstanding pickup.

I really wish we signed Walker. Such a good player in the Qcup. I'm sure he will step up in that environment and become a superstar. Seriously NSW don't have a chance in 2019 with all these young Queenslanders coming through the ranks.

There's no way I can believe that Sam Burgess is on 250K. He'd have to be 400-500K plus (and his talent definitely warrants it too)

Salary cap was a lot less back then and ESL players didn't get big coin to come over when he did, so I don't see why it's that hard to believe. Heck, Barba is supposedly only on 350k so I don't see why it's that hard to believe.

Not that any of us know, but I believe Burgess' original contract was worth 250K and when he signed an extension in 2012, he was offered a lot more.
